Wales forum meet 7th April 2012

I can't make it any earlier than that as have to take the little one swimming in the morning (fatherly duties).
I'll have to think of a route now. Off top of my head from Brecon we could head slightly back towards Llangynidr and do the top gear road which Gilo likes, up over Pengenfford to talgarth and back through to Llangorse drop back into Brecon and up over the Chapel road through the firing range (it'll be safe) to Bulah and back up and over to Llandrindod to Crossgates.

The last bit of that is a sighting tour as I've not done that road on a bike before so bit unsure what to expect.

Could stop off for lunch somewhere in Crick after the Top gear road. Nice little cafe there which should be open on Sunday

Definitely. They are far too cool to hang out with me anymore. Unless they want a lift. Or food. Or money etc.
 
if its raining catch train, come in car, for fook sake its a bike forum its the bike or fook all. mick ye i can do sunday no prob as always luv a good blast at the wekend woking sat untill about one then go get some tyres for the bike scrub them in ready for sunday busy in the morning on sunday with my mum i can get to yours for about 11.45 if thats any good
 
I don't have an issue with rain, but if it's proper hammering then it's not exactly enjoyable. Breathe ******, breathe.......;)

yes, 350 miles in the rain will not be fun at all, but if it's gonna piss down all weekend, I don't want to miss the Thai meal that's been booked by Bay,
alternative transport is available.,
Fingers crossed it's fine.
 
That camera position looks good. I should have spent the extra dosh and bought HD instead of standard ... now I need to sell standard and put it towards HD without "she" spotting what I'm up to!

Matter of interest ... where'd you get the reservoir caps? My old plaggy ones look ****

11.45 sounds perfect, still reckon we can be in Brecon by 1.15. where are Bay & STix meeting in Brecon we may as well meet them there??

Got them on E Bay for an extravagant price. certainly wouldn't pay what I paid for them now. Wonder if Keith B can remember how much I paid??? He did make a comment!

I did also get some cheap plastic dashboard / car interior grommets from Halfords or somewhere similar that only cost about 60p may have some spares knocking around somewhere.

Scrub your tyres in on way down to Newtown if you like, shall take that bit easy as its straight & boring, Crossgates road is great for getting rid of yer chicken strips & scrubbing them over to the limits.
