Great ride today guys had a nice ride back from crossgates wia craven arms & church stretton. Managed 107miles B4 light came on. hanging back & being tail end Charlie must have made a differance to my riding. :thumbup Nice to do that route in reverse next weekend.:maybe find an extra 1 hr somewhere, I got an idea, Newtown - llangurig - Newbridge once we all meet at Crossgates.:roost

This was just the trial run. We'll have video & all sorts for the actual event. Got a friend who's a television presenter who maybe will do some commentry and get the event on Welsh Television news.
Yes Garry just a pre meet gander at the route I wanted to take up to meet the guys at crossgates as the road from bulah to Llandrindod I'd never ridden before and only looked at on a map. What a road though. It went up and down left and right like a big dipper. At the top of one of the rises you looked down to see the bends you were about to take and could see it snaking up the other side. Has to be my favourite bit if road. Tarmac Smoothe as a babies bum. Only problem with it. It was only about 15 miles long. 15 miles of pure bliss though. Stix and me were lucky enough to get to do it in reverse though.
Planning on taking my camera next week in ric sac so should have more photos of the ride and night out. Some guy we were talking to in a garage was speaking some **** about how the weather is gong to change next week and we're gonna have snow. Think he was smoking summat.

I had a really good run Newtown to Crossgates first thing then pretty much all the way through buith to Brecon. Blew of a Porsche with a huge tail fin spoiler which was a bonus only to get stuck behing a geriactric through the twisties. I enjoyed the bits I'd never done before the ride over the top from Brecon throught the firing ranges was nice & twisty scenic was 1/2 expecting tanks & sniper fire. All in all I had a great ride all day from the moment I left my village until the point of return Mid Wales has some fantastic roads and I will miss the ones uop this end once I've left. just trying to cramm them all in before I up sticks & leave the area. Although you guys aren't that far from where Im moving to & Brecon won't be that far from me think I did llandovery in the van yesterday in an hour.
Yes Mick we came back at a bit more of a sedate pace and took in the scenery a bit more. Going back up tonsuring ranges the scenery was quite breath taking. Kinda half want to stop just to have a look but wasn't anywhere at that point I could.
My bike handled well today. I checked the tyres after the winter lay off as had a bit of an episode entering a roundabout mid week when I took it for a spin. When I checked I had about 25lbs in both tyres so upped the rear to 36 and the from has 33 in. Really made a big difference to the handling a dipped into bends very nicely indeed.
I know unsaid at the beginning inwas gonna take it slow as this was 1st proper ride of the year but always kinda worry people behind think I'm going too slow. Hopefully didn't hold you up too much today.

Just read above. I'd prob come down the Swansea valley mate and meet you nearer to Llanelli. Might even stay at the inlaws night before

Video action was a wash out only captured about the first 10 seconds of each sequence attempted. might be a good idea to download the instruction manual & red it through. Think there's a problem with the power feed. hope its the cable & not the supply. Just tested battery supply which lasted over 1.5 hrs so not sure what went wrong the other day when I only managed just over 1/2 an hour.

Reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea to enlist the aid of a few classy chicks in hot pants with golf brollies to shade us from the sun at the T break stops.
