funny really, i'd read all the occasional comments about the stand being crap & you should fit a busby one or a gsxr one & i've always thought "yep, i need to get one!". you see, the problem with my stand is that it stands the bike up almost upright to the point that i have to choose my parking spots with care or the bike will topple over onto the right side & i have been assuming that that is the reason for them being crap.

now it would seem that it is the opposite & that the original stands are too short & i have been wrong all this time! i can only assume now that someone has put a new stand on the bike which is too long:roll

Ive read somewhere that the sidestands for the US version of the Mille are longer, some people ship them over and their worth more. It might be you have one of them fitted.

Bear in mind it also depends how your suspension is set up to how your bike sits while on its stand.

I have just put a bubseywoo stand on mine and I am very impressed the angle looks much better.

I am very aware of previous comments so I will keep checking it though as there is a little play at the fork bracket as already mentioned. If it going to give way I fear it will be there.

However looks sturdy enough at the mo!

Just ordered a busby one off the bay. time will tell..... If it all goes pete tong. i'll blame all of you...:biggrin

Whats the quality of the welding like on this bubseewoo stands? It doesnt look that great in the pic :dunno

I'm just gonna take mine to a welder and have the required amount off metal put on as i think the quality of the original stand is good just not long enough.

lol...i've got one that stands the bike almost upright as well....wouldnt trust it in a strong wind

I've had one of bubswhatsisname stands for about 12 months and still ok. They are also good if your a short a**se like me 'cos they stick out further and are easier to flick up:thumbup:smilie

Does anyone have some piccy's with a bubseewoo stand fitted to their bike ??

Would be nice to see :thumbup

Cheers chap :thumbup

I can see just how long it is now compared to the original plus theres more of an angle.

The only thing i can see that would be a problem is these mod's would apply more stress to the stand bracket once the kickstands down on the ground. Looks much better and easier to use than the original though.

:thumbup

We need to really look into this as just loaded the bike up for the TT and the fecking thing nearly fell over on its own FFS.
