Tyres

I had qualifiers, normal and rr 190/50, now I have pirelis supercorsa 190/55, none of them were touching anything except the tarmac.

Dont the 190's lick the hugger, sure i read that ages ago........ :biggrin

my 207 would of licked it... but the hugger seems to of been modded slightly to allow for this... wether accidently & then the previous owner dremmelled it... doesnt touch the chain though... even giving extra room for the tyre swelling due to the heat !? :thumbup

i had a pirelli diablo 190 on the rear before the bt-021 and i went for the 180 because it was cheaper and i wanted to try it and i definately prefer it, if your into track riding and aggressive power at high lean angles then i'd say go for the 190 but for normal and fast road riding i like my 180.

aren't good in the wet the wet though, mate has them on his gixxer 750!!!

if you want maximum grip go for the metzeler racetecs, K2 preferrably, its the dogs bollocks when it comes to dry grip, i could open the throttle completely in gear 2 mid corner and it would not even twitch. thats no exageration. they are **** in the wet though and mine lasted about 600 miles! about £300 per set and all, so expensive but grip costs dollar!

i run a 120/70 and a 190/55 and have no issues whatsoever. i have an R though so it has a wider rear (i think???) but no rubbing or anything like that. the taller tyre tends to fall into corners better, which i like!

anyway new tyre bedded in and running sweet. grips very well although haven't tried gear 2 mid corner yet!!! if i write it off you'll be the first to know. you'll hear me crying for miles away.

I agree with Dolenc:thumbup. I have been running the Qualifier RR's on the road and they are a great tyre and do last well. I got caught in heavy rain the other weekend and had to ride in it for 45 minutes and they felt good in this situation also.
I also run Dunlops on my race bike and wouldn't use anything else:inlove.
