I wondered if any of you are planning to go to the Thundersprint in Northwich later this year. For those of you who havnt been to this , there is a bike show on the Saturday and racing on the Sunday.
Last year Chris walker put on a great display with the new Norton, and its all free.

Oh I'll be there again for sure. Finish nights the sunday mornin tho so won't be too early. Deffo try and get there to see, and more importantly HEAR the spitfire fly-by. What a beast !

Ive been every year for yonks. It went **** but last year was pretty good. Usually park near the civic centre thingy.

I have heard you could buy a complete Spitfire aircraft boxed for £300 after the war .

A volkswagon Beetle for £ 60 .

its only 7o miles

What are peeps doing for overnights and parking?

I'm all up for going "prepared" even if that means booking a Premmy Inn or whatever ... but arriving at 1000 hrs with no idea where to park, where to walk or where to sit is a bit off putting!

Me and Pikey could come together (eeeeew) and meet up with seasoned vets?

pinny, what date is it? got a wedding on the 30th April, is it after that? if so, game on!

We are staying at the Wall Hill Farm Guest House, its a couple of miles from northwich but i reckon we could drunken walk the way back there loaded with a couple of kebabs.

Its May 7th and 8th Ash, see http://www.thundersprint.com/ for details.

Hello Pinny

I.m right up for this but I don't think I can get a 2-day pass

I'm keen to go for the Sunday though.

Given that people start queuing at 0600 hrs or even earlier to bagsy a good spot ... what time will you be leaving your B&B ... will you walk in or take the T?

It would be good to either park at your B&B or hook up with you at a predetermined point in town.

Being on the grassy bank looks good but I know nothing of the event and would gladly follow a veterans advice.

:megaphone YO! Pikey and Mike W ... are you up for this?

im no vet newelley, first time for me,
Cant see me walking anywhere in the morning so will possibly dump the bike somewhere, i will find an appropriate place on saturday and send you a text where to park, can conveniently leave a space for you and 125 boy if required.

You can queue at 6 if you like, just bagsy a spot for me and mate!!!!!

Right then as Thunderchild was the instigator of the idea ... all who are going need to send their intentions to him so we know who and when are going.

All in favour of Thunderchild being entertainments officer for this gig say "AYE"

I'd LOVE to do the 2 days but Mrs Welly is disabled and I cannot leave her with house kid (Lucie will be with me) and dog duty for 2 days

Bugger ... the 2 mile kebab stagger to a comfy B&B is bloody tempting though!

Anyone go ??? Totally ***** weather in Nobland today. I'm going tomorrow, rain permitting.

Yes got wet on ride up just popping out or a beer in sunny northwich.

ye im going tomorow if its not pissing down, never been before so dont know where to park the bike, only know where J&S is.

Went to Thundersprint today, was a little disappointed. Weather did not help. Lots of nostalgia going on. Think they had all my old bikes there...

Went on the Saturday but have to work Sunday, hopefully will have dried out by then.
Still at least all the Bennetts totty brightened the show and while I sympathise with the guys who are displaying expensive and rare machinary
if we turn out in the pissing rain to see it at least leave it uncovered.
However the superbikes at Oulton was excellent last Monday.

If anyones thinking of travelling for this today, the weather don't look good. I'm not bothering, watching WSBK instead.
