Afternoon chaps, Robbo here (formally RSVR Robbo). How is everyone?

You guessed it, I sold my RSVR last week so now on the hunt for a T. Budget is very tight as just bought an old jap 6 for some track day fun. Looking for newer shape 06 model up, not fussed if factory or not but must be clean & well looked after. Cash burning a hole in my pocket & can collect ASAP. Not fussed where you are as if miles away will jump on a train / plane & ride home.

There are a few on eBay within my budget, I've made contact with the sellers already & am sure I could do a deal but though I'd see if any fellow zoners had anything to put on the table first as would rather put the cash in your pocket?

Welcome tae th' fray TuonoRobbo. I'm hoping that your erudite and pithy humour continues on the Tzone as it did on AF1 as an RSVR man. A couple of bikes on the site for sale, most notably a Factory on the block, from Bonners I b'leeve.

Yep, seen Bonners bike. If I had the dough i'd of bitten his fookin arm off but is £2000 or so out my budget, I told you it was tight but I will find something nice :p
 
Damn... how about appealing to the SWMBO for an early Christmas and Birthday present... for the next couple of years. For your budget, you should be able to pick up an R without to much trouble. And knowing your penchant for riding, I can see a few tweaks coming that will set it up as well as an Factory.
 
No. I was on it yesterday .
I sold the Harley instead . the guy who bought it said it purred all the way home, (I needed that) It was mint ,not a blemish and all polished . Lost a bit on it , got the triple and really impressed. A bit lighter than the " T ".
I have a fazer 6 for sale next year and the "T" pot. I may let the DR go mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Well ignore the message I sent you via fleabay today then, lol.

Was watching it on fleabay but didn't have any cash on me at the time. Noticed it didn't sell then saw you were a user on here & used the link you posted to track down. If you decide to get rid, let me know.

Just missed out on a clean 56 r model on fleabay. 7000 miles, fsh up at £3800 with best offer & needless to say it sold quickly for £3500, doh!!!

Good time to be buying mate, T's are noticeably cheaper than when I was looking a year ago. I've seen plenty of good Gen2's go for around £3.5K of late

I'll keep an eye out for you. Best to bide your time but there's fat chance of that; ummm think of the lovely T nestling in the garage (....****, where have the smileys gone?)

That's why I sold the RSVR now so I had the cash ready to try & snap up a winter bargain. It's typical, seen over 7+ nice T's go on ebay recently under 4k with no bids, didn't have the cash, now I have do you think I can find any?

Not in a rush but fook havin it sat in the garage, I'm itching to ride one. Probably should of had a go on one before making the decision to swop but I'm sure i'll get on with it.

OK, here's the challange. If someone finds a clean Gen 2 T under £3500 before I do, their's a £20 note with their name on it or a free gig at the next charity bash I sort. Not expecting a factory & if I'm asking too much, I will save some more pennies over the next few months (will be hard with xmas coming up, a wag, two young daughters & another on the way, but needs must, lol).

If nob or batfastard find one first we'll call it a pie, chips, gravy & a tea or whatever you norveners have :p

I'll keep me ears peeled, but if I find one I'll settle for a nice bottle of Sancerre rather than the pie & peas.

Robbo, if they've only finished recently without any bids try to send a message to the sellers to see if they're still available

PS have you kept hold of any bling from the RSV to transfer to the T? (pipes, ohlins etc)

Yep, few already sold & those that didn't want silly money even though they had no reserve & didn't sell!

No, didn't have much bling on it so let it go with the bike. Fresh start & all that ;)
