Hello boys n girls,as some may know my tuono(2007)has been cutting out on downshift third to second worst for some reason. The cause is a voltage spike to ECU ,the CURE is buy this diode (£1'78)p eBay item number 361491799458 it's a MUR420RLG on semiconductor diode bought from pcarena-bristol (361191) the B block under seat into ECU needs opening ,you need pin eleven, its light blue with grey line, looking from back of bike it's at front of block and third from the right, take tape back a bit and fit diode in line with wire (ie cut it) the diode is tiny, its got a grey ring round it ,this goes to ECU end (before fitting solder some similar wire to ECU wires to ends of diode and shrink wrap it,,then solder diode in line,I did mine so the extra wire is outside of connector when block connector is back in place ..,,I have to say a big huge thanks to steve at rocket centre Blackburn as he was really helpful and could have got money off me as I thought it needed to go on dyno and perhaps remapped.also thanks to spoons on RSV.net.I know this will help people if they are having said problem and it's a Shame that people have got rid of tuonos cos of this fault,,and they should have been recalled as it's a safety issue and aprilia NEW ABOUT IT ,IN 2008,,I think this thread needs a high profile ,if you sort bike cos of my help then if u see me up the Dales you can buy me a brew ,,BIG JESSIE in
