I part exxed the Dorso for the T. It was a really great bike for up to about an hour & a half b4 starting to get uncomfortable arse so not much good for a long haul, also on open roads side wind could cause a bit of hassle. plenty of power, very flickable & good for twisty A & B Roads. topped at about 118mph with me on it. very good for an hours blast.
Bearing in mind that I am a fat coont about 18stone Plus and nearly 6'3"
T has much more power acceleration & easily capable of cruising at over a ton. I went to Assen at beginning of June with a load of boys who wanted to cruise at about 85 I barely got out of fourth gear. Riding position is much more sports bike like ie bent knees but not uncomfortable. Can manage a 3-4hr stint without any problem. Dorso being more upright tended to throw the bike around much more as opposed to taking a racing line. reckon I was probably quicker on a twisty tight B road on the Dorso as changing saddle position is quicker. again I am well over 6ft.
Don't really know what else you'd like me to comment on. I did consider a 1200 Dorso but wasn't prepared to fork out the cash theyr'e asking. reviews havent been that brilliant either if it had been a mental suoermoto I may have considered but reports seem to indicate they're going for more of a touring style bike.
I bought a second hand T to live with for a while & ran it alongside the D whilst pontificating whether to buy a new one which I obviously did & have no regrets at all.
You may see from one of my threads that I went through a series of sports bikes ending up with a gixxer which was nothing short of a guided missile on wheels. I then spent a year trying to find something that fitted the bill of what I wanted. KTM LC4, Fireblade 929, Dorsoduro. I now live with the T & fireblade which gets very little use.
