The perils of cold tyres !!!!!

P.s Im doing a track day in June on my 03 Tuono and need to get new tyres any recommendations for trackdays?

LordG , ive been running Dunlop Sportsmarts and im no track day god but i rate them highly , loads of grip and seem to wear well , just having the rear replaced now and even though it was down to the wear bars it hadnt squared off and still rode sweetly , know a few guys on here that are running them and i know they are happy with them , good enough for the odd trackday anyhooo !

Gutted for ya mate...as others have said will make a good trackday bike now with not too much work.....incidentally i'm running 014's on my trackbike now with no issues at all, do have tyre warmers though which are well worth the £100 outlay:thumbup

I'm on my first pair of Sportsmarts and agree they are great tyres. If they last as well as the reviews say (I'm 1500 miles in so far) I will definately replace them with the same.

im having a set of michelin power pures fitted at the weekend, will let you know how i get on !!

Morning All,

Good friend of mine was at Brandshatch Indy (evening session) yesterday riding a KTM SMR 990 running the dunlop sportsmarts and he really rated them so think Im going to give those a try!
