hehehe!! Cheers shovel..

remember its just my view, besides was out today for a ride on the T, a proper ride as well, think I had 100% throttle twice, that's plenty quick for twisty roads, certainly was not asking for more..!!

seems biking is becoming more about the bike you ride and the gear you own than the ride itself :confused:

Yeah you may well have a point there. Most modern kit is total overkill for the road, especially with traffic levels, cameras, police etc etc... but most of us still lust after more power and gadgets. Litre sports bikes are heading towards 200bhp at the rear wheel, madness. Not knocking it mind, we need the manufacturers to move things forward, but it doesn't seem that long ago that we were getting excited about 100bhp and wondering where it would all end.....

hehe!
perhaps am getting old at 35, gone past the need to have pub talk bhp figures that apart from the odd mile stretch i'd never use nor the need for 7 levels of traction control or anti wheelie, for me that's the fun and skill of riding.
I am not knocking we need to move stuff forward and desire will drive technological advancement and with 200hp at the wheel of a 'road' bike you will need every 'aid' possible to keep upright..

I think I have posted this before, might have been on AF1, but I like my Factory because it's a V TWIN, I've had a V4 before, and I like the feel, the character of the V Twin.

The extra power of the V4 isn't something I need, (it might be fun) and I reckon that my bike pretty much does everything I need from a bike, most of all it makes me grin like a rabid gibbon every time I ride it.

I've had a V4 before and loved it, but given the choice I'll stick with a nice big V twin. That said, if I had the cash to buy an RSV4, as well as keeping the T, I probably would. Given that I can only afford to run one bike (without getting divorced) the T will do me just fine for the next few years.

I am kicking my self that I never bort the gen 2 in 06 ! the mony I coud have saved my self £££££££££ ouning a ktm Super duke , the gen 2 just ticks all the boxes for me , what ever ells I buy from now on I will keep the the Gen 2 , its lovley bike that ticks all the boxes for me its got it all , this is a keeper for me now , I carnt see the V4 being very well baged up for touring on . iff I was doing a track day a munth then and onley then wood i consider one ,then I wood proberbley go for the RSV'4 , I keep looking at the V'4,T ,and its just not doing it for me at all .;)
