ohh to have the 3k or whatever to buy one. You can buy them direct. they don't have the Aprilia software but still cover 99.9 of the functions.
Not sure if the axone can read injector pulses in rel time. it will read lamda and vac readings in realtime but not played with it in enough detail to say either way. Griff will know.
Certainly the Ecu diags will know if an injector is overly high or low in voltage or short circuit so i suspect they are mechanically ok if no errors showing. a visual look into the Tb's will say if they are firing or not. If they are it must be stale fuel if it runs ok with manually input fuel.

3K, bloody hell, thats outta my account reach then. I certainly have experienced old fuel not wanting to fire in other engines. As you say mate, if it will fire on manual fed fuel, then time for a tank drain and fill with new fuel. Not much else left other than that then. Air/Spark/ Fuel...pointing to the fuel by the sounds.

When did you last have the valve clearances adjusted? If they are out then it wont start. Can you smell fuel from the exhaust? Could also be an over pressure in the throttle bodies.

Actually forget that, it can't be any of those if you can get it to run with a manual squirt.

3K in $. half that in £ then i guess. i asked af1 a couple of years ago if they would sell me one. they would but somehow i though better of it once i got the price.
to be honest with a co2 meter and the aprilia cylinder switch over kit i can cover everything without it. sure it helps with diags and map updates but not worth spending that sort of money just the odd times i need that. I just take it to griff for Axone tweaks and there is unlikely to be any further map updates for an 04 bike now anyways.

Hey matey, if you have a moment, can you chk this link out regarding Axone for sale...is this an old model? does it look the real deal? says something about plugging into a Gameboy?? like a TOY gameboy...makes me unsure what this unit exactly is. Never seen that before. If it does what they say it's good value. trouble is without access codes etc from aprilia to download map updates etc from their server and update the firmware it would essentially be just a diag tool.
you could ask them what it can and can't do and whther it has access to Service aprilia for updates.

Ok matey, shall ask a few questions i think...to me it only looks like some peripherals for the unit..i cannot see the actual Axone 2000 interface in those ebay photos...On the axone site i can see the 2 modules shown on ebay..but minus the main interface tool. :dunno
