Hi All,

Tried to find this out all over the place but cant get any hits.

I know the Smaltmoto cans fit their own system, but do the cans only purchase include link pipes to fit a standard system?

I've sent them a few messages with no response :( ...

Cant afford the whole system, so thought I could go half way :p ...

Thanks.

Got hold of Smaltmoto ...

The cans dont come with link pipes no. They are generally for there full system they also sell only. Links can be made up for an extra fee, so should have some Smaltmoto cans soon :D ...

Though there's at least a 3 week wait :O! Patience isn't my greatest ability ... but cant wait for these to turn up! Just need to save for the rest of the system now ... it looks brill!

Hi Spoonz,

It's very strange talking to you across 2 different forums! It's great to see people are active on them all though!

And yes, it's Konstantin I'm in communicado with! And what a brilliant chap he is! Very very easy to talk to and has all the time in the world for everyone!

I am actually very excited about getting these! Something tells me they are going to be something special! I've followed his advise and gone for the carbon units. Almost went Ti, but trust his word!

Have to say so far, Smaltmoto are impressing me no end!

Does get confusing, i get about but i moderate on here against the legions of spammers now helped by Tash.

Konstantin was my go between with Uli at MPL tuning back in the days of failing 04 suspension links. They were both superb to deal with actually.

I don't think you will be disappointed with their Cans. By the way Konstantin is a member on here now.

Failing suspension links?

Mines an 04 :p ... frame number of only 300 in fact ... one of the first! (Still need to check the swinger to!)

Probably lots of threads on here about it.

To cut a very long story.

Several (about 8) riders had a spate of linkage failures for no apparant reason. Several people walked away, 1 ended up crippled and 2 died.

Law suit later (in NZ) ended up in stalemate but engineers reports blamed links for stress related failures. So some of us decided to replace the links for piece of mind just to be sure.

I via Konstantin and MPL got some custom made versions (about 30 of them) and they went to various forums. I got an unobtanium version :)thumbup)

Anyway demand became sufficient that Af1 had a version made by woodcraft in the usa after mine were all gone i steered everyone there.

Around 07 ish the breakages stopped so i suspect something changed at aprilia. Statistically it was always a small number but all were 04/05/06 bikes.
