Well, thanks for all the advice chaps but it looks a little complicated to me. Might just take a chance fingers crossed for now. Just started another thread re suspension tweak may have caused my bike to fall over, very odd

It's 1 hours work with a access to a welder but as always without the tools it's much harder.

You can actually do the job with no welding by another method but it's too long winded to explain really well via a post.

For me i had to do something cos i tour quite a bit and the ferry was always a worry as the bike was never stable when strapped against the stand. Just lifted the back wheel. It came close to blowing over on a beach once which was the final straw.
Get a slow puncture and the bike often falls when the tyre goes flat.
