+1000 but it has to be from 04-07...a 2008 will not fit..:thumbup

Seriously m8, I come across US sidestands almost on daily basis on the AF1 forum. Just keep an eye on the parts for sale section there.:thumbup

I found the CBR 1000 2004 works so its my patent LOL

I fitted an '06 CBR1000RR stand, and it does go straight on. Touches the fairing on my '99 bike when it's up, though. Nothing a blob of weld won't cure.

The saga continues.

As I have been unable to find a second hand 04>07 CBR stand I bought a 03 (954 model) stand to see if that would fit my 04 RSVR.

While the stand itself looks to be ideal for length and angle it is no good.

First off the bracket connection to the bike is completely different so thats a no go.

Secondly, the top of the stand arm itself will fit the aprilia bracket, but the top is reversed so the switch is on the back of the stand rather than the front.

It would be possible to cut the top off the stand and re-weld back on the roght way but I wouldn't trust the weld.

However, having looked a some pictures of earlier models rsv's earlier in this thread it looks the top of the stand arm itself is very similar (ie the stand switch is on the back of the stand, so wonder if this could be fitted to to earlier model.

If anyone local would like to try it or has done it previously let me know.

Fitted my stand today bought the Blade stand as recommended for the years 2004 to 2007, I also tried to buy a second hand one and decided a new one at £60 including spring was the way to go saves lots of messing about. I can tell those who wish to do the same (My bike is 2002 RSV R) that the BLADES standard length IS too long and stands the bike too upright. Many threads on here about this as to whether to shorten or not, I can tell you IT does if you want to complete the job 100% perfect. I have cut mine down and very pleased with the result bike now sits as it should. My only mistake is I cut 7mm off and I should have trusted those who said 10MM. Thanks for all your help Guys.

Yes the stand off the CBR1000RR years 2004 to 2007, before and after this they are diffrent. :thumbup But this is fitted to my 2002 you will have to ask others if the same stand fits other years models

I've got an '07 CBR stand on my '99 RSV, and it's fine. But it's just dawned on me that I've got a non-standard shock on the back; how much this has altered the ride height I do not know. Guess I'll find out soon enough.
