sick

Cheers again fusebox, I'm away tonight till sunday (spain with the lads on a piss up hooray!). Back to the mille problems when I return!

Hi Paul I picked my first RSV yesterday, and listening to these storys is starting to worry me, are we talking the old style Mille or the new style, mines 53 plate factory but 04 design if ya know what I mean, by the way I'm from just down the road Jarrow.:thumbup

hello mate, I wouldn't worry too much. My RSV is the older shape (01 model) Other people seem to have the odd problem it just seems I'm having more than most.

Good battery and optimate coupled with correct starting seems to sort most problems.

My bike just has lots and lots of character.............

Mechanicaly I'm a biff so I much prefer a bike with no character lol I was worrying about the fast idle I dont think my bike has one or a choke if thats what ya call em these days.

The thing is with forums like this people only tend to talk about their problems and if you look at the number of people that use this forum it is a very small percentage, when people have problems this is usually the first place they ask, so don't worry, i have done over 50k on Mille's and they are generally very reliable:thumbup

Cheers Badger, I would hate to think the thing I've been dreaming about turned out to be a donkey:eek:

Super Glue the choke shut don't ever use it unless it has been sitting for 60 days or so. My RSV has left me stranded 90 miles out. You have to keep the battery fully charged all the time or live on a big hill. Don't choke it start it and then turn the idel up a little, if you choke it or give it gas it will foul the plugs if it won't start hole it (WFO) wide freaking open and turn it over don't pump it. Once I fugred it out I have never had a problem.

About 2hours for me and a bit less for you. Might even come down with you if you fancy it :thumbup

Maybe make it a threesome. The bike i'm purchasing has been lowered for the previous owner who was very small and i'm about 6'1" and 17st. so i would presume the setup is way out for me.

Let me know what u think :biggrin

p.s neil if you could bring your bike down for me to have a dribble on i would be most grateful !!! nice bike my fave colours!!!!

Griffer
I know Neil hasn't replyed yet but he won't be able to ride his bike down to you as he had a little mishap with some ***** in a van and the bike is no more.
