Just fitted a HID Xenon headlamp kit to my 2002 RSV and it is amazing.

The light emitted is so close to daylight it makes riding at night so easy.

This is the exact one I bought Click Me Just make sure that you order the correct bulb fitment kit, mine was H7 but early RSV's are H4.

Fitment takes about 15 - 20 mins and you don't need any electrical skills. The instructions supplied are not brilliant but you'll figure it out in about 20 seconds, trust me.

If you do get stuck, PM me and I'll help out with fitment.

Best £29.72 I've ever spent on my bike.

If all good i would be very interested in getting one ! :thumbup

Amb i forgot I have seen them fitted to cars and they look **** hot but they have like a conversion box does yours run the same style of system?

Im gonna need some help on installing mine being a complete electrical feckwit that I am.

Cheers

I too fitted this kit - with the same results. Very occasionally it doesn't come on so I flick to main then back to dip. Voila, job done. Worth the minor irritation of checking it. It's easy to spot it, just look at any wall or vehicle you're following, you'll see it. Well chuffed.

I had a Hid kit fitted to my type r lads there awesome, i went for the 6000k kit which was said to be the nearest to daylight, its wicked just like proper exspensive xenons best bit is when its cold and ya just flick them on PING they go! class!!

Guys... My Dipped runs at all times. Lights on Milles is just too slow on the change. If I run HID it will be on at ALL times to avoid any Non strikes... which could be deadly:eek:

Crikey, never expected so many questions, here goes:

Flick, down to Hastings tomorrow to meet up with a mate from work. If anyone else fancies a run out I'll be leaving the Little Chef car park at around 11.30 tomorrow, this one Click Me. (The Lamberhurst one)

Supertedlover, I went for the 8000K version as it gives out a really nice blue/purple light. Your quite right that the lower the K the better the view and yes I did have a 6000K fitted to my last bike and it was a little better at night.

The kit came with everything you need, burner (Bulb) igniter pack (Box of tricks) and loom. Seriously it will take a non electrical person about 15 minutes to fit.

If you get this kit from my initial link and it fails to ignite then you can return it for a replacement unit, chances are if it fails to ignite it will be a dodgy igniter pack or a poor connection somewhere in the circuit.

As I said before, had one of these kits fitted to my ZX6R for almost 4 years and it never once missed a beat. Bargain for £30, me thinks.

Anyone wants any help fitting them then just ask. All I needed that wasn't in the kit was two large cable ties, I used them to secure the igniter pack to the back of the lamp unit.

~Right... When you flick from LOW to HIGH beam, your LOW light goes out and your TWO little MAINS come on.

BUT... The change over is ****. At a split sec you have no lights on!!!

So... when MY lights are on, my LOW beam light is ALWAYS on. When I hit my MAIN beam my TWO MAINS kick in to join it. Dig?
:biggrin

Flick, first thing I do after starting my bike is switch the dipped headlamp on. Day or night I have my lamp on.

Did exactly the same with my ZX6R and never had any issues.

Don't worry, it'll be fine. LOL

Flick, once you have a HID unit fitted you won't need main beam.

You will not notice the difference when you flick the switch as the dipped beam will be 40 times better anyhow.

I bought Bi xenons in the end but are waiting for AMB to give us a hand to put them on, as Im shyte with electrical stuff

Little Chef...? WHerE aMb...?

I been drinkin pop I haves...

Flick, we would never have guessed you'd been on the pop!!

Lamberhurst Little Chef on the A21

Just watch out for the old fookers in the car park, they are lethal, one dozy old todger reversed in to my bike last time I stopped off for a brew.

xenon H7 6000K for sale (2 off)

Just make sure that you order the correct bulb fitment kit, mine was H7 but early RSV's are H4.

Lads
be careful, my late 2007 RSV has H11 lamps fitted, instead of walking the extra 5 yards to the garage to check before ordering I checked my manual and ordered two sets of H7 only to find when i tried to fit them today two weeks after delivery, that I have got the wrong ones. Doh! Damn! Double Fek!!

If any of you guys want a set, or a pair then let me know i will let them go for £30 plus whatever it costs to post, i suspect that wont be a lot they are not very heavy. They are from the same guy who AMB67 used in Hong Kong and although the instructions are completely gobbledy ****, i suspect that with the right kit they are pretty easy...... they are the 6000K so are a polar white and as close to daylight as you get, not the colour tinted type
