Here here, well said little1. If it's a comfort issue Tantrum, find yourself a nice early Tuono, and drop the gearing to 16/44.

Cheers Dave, I'm from down south :biggrin

Maybe that's the problem - I just don't seem to fit in :dunno I'm not really a people person and always seem to upset people whatever forum I'm on (except the VFR forum strangely enough) :dowhat

I think I'll buy another VFR - accept I'm an old fogey now and spend my days complaining about whippersnappers tear-arsing around on their sportsbikes. Sad eh?

You know it's a shame you're not selling a Falco, as I'd happily swap (+cash) with my VFR. When I say happily, I do think I might grow to regret getting rid of the VFR, but there you go - I just fancy one of them there Falco's (nearly got serious about importing a particualrly tasty one from the States until I found out all the requisite costs!!).
It does seem a shame that you're getting rid of the RSV just because you don't get on with fellow RSV owners??:dunno. Personally I'd feel better riding with non-RSV owners, as they'd all be envious of my Aprilia :biggrin
Know what you mean about the VFR club - they can be very accomodating, but then that forum hasn't been without its, er, shall we say "commotion". ehem. When all said & done you have to get the bike that suits your reasons, so good luck with your quest.

Hope the sale goes well squire, and that you get a pukka VFR - shouldn't be too hard, as the VFR club started down south & there are a fair few damn decent chaps down there that might be trading in their steed sometime (unless they've all gone BMW by now of course:biggrin). :thumbup

Rene

P.S. Don't wish to offend, but might I suggest changing the ebay yellow text to grey or black - it's pretty tricky to read on some monitors.

Hi Rene,

Yes I love Falco's too - just can't seem to find a nice one at a decent price :no

It's not so much that I don't get on with RSV owners (well, maybe one or two :devious) I just think the RSV forums don't have the same camaraderie as some others I have been involved with.

Yeah you are right about the yellow text in my ebay listing - I use a 22" monitor and it shows up just fine but on my Son's 17" it doesn't look too clear. Although it must have worked as it's now sold :thumbup so I'll get back to scouring the ads for it's replacement :devious

Cheers, Gray.

Hi Rene,

well. there you go, what the hell do I know :biggrin
Nice one, good luck with the search. If I come across a decent VFR I'll let you know. Any preference - 750, 800, VTEC??

Rene

Would prefer a late 750 or an early 800. Just found one locally, a Red '97 750, but has 42K on the clock. Might go and have a look.

And MilleBoy82 why would anyone want a VTEC with that pointless variable valve nonsense and chain driven cams :confused unless it's just to look at :biggrin

Mind you now I've started browsing a few other bikes have started to look tempting :devious

Aaaarrgghh! The buyer has changed his mind and doesn't want it now :crazy

Don't you just hate ebay sometimes :rant

I'm from down south as well, and would consider myself to be very easy to get along with. I'm often too laid back for my own good. your comments about young whipper snappers giving you the hump, is justified, but surly it is for us more mature riders to impart our experience and knowledge onto these sometimes misguided yoof. they can't help being young, but we can help them to get old.
you have to understand how these forums work, half the fun is the banter. there is a wealth of knowledge on here, its a very young forum and there are some very talented and experienced people here.
I just worry that the common denominator in all your troubles with forums and the like, is you.
My advice, keep the mille, lighten up, chill out. and enjoy. be sad to loose you to another piece of jap rubbish. Dare to be different.:thumbup

Lovely bike mate and looks in great condition. Not sure I'd have been able to sell it. Find it hard to understand how a forum would make me change my bike if I loved the bike but each to their own :)

I'm more likely to change forums and keep the bike, even go to a general motorbike forum.

As long as you're still going to be on two wheels (whatever the bike) that's the main thing at the end of the day though mate :thumbup

Wise words HB :thumbup

Just to clear things up, the comment I made about fitting in was because I'm from down south but live up north :dunno and I'm not changing my bike because of the forum :biggrin

Yes you're right, the common denominator is me! For many many years since my early teens I have suffered with extreme shyness and it wasn't until fairly recently when I joined the TLZone forum that I actually started to mix with other bikers. I get the banter bit and when it's done with wit and humour I enjoy it but I get a bit touchy when it's just nastiness in disguise.

I made the comment about other forums having better camaraderie from experience with the TLZone as I believe the bike being discontinued and suffering from widespread critisism from the biking press and sometimes other brand owners has made it a tight knit community. I think that is what is missing from this forum - but as you say it's early days.

I was kidding about the whippersnappers - I'm not that old :biggrin and I will lighten up and chill and relax :thumbup

Might hang on to the bike after all - I had a real twinge of regret when I thought it was going :(

Good man, stick around and be proud to be different. If you find offense in something someone posts, just tell them to fook off.:thumbup, give as good as you get.:nana
By the way if you are after a bike thats is obsolete, welcome aboard, looking like this is the last year of the RSVR as we know it.:dunno
Keep it real life's so much sweeter when you do. just remember we all have one thing in common we all like riding bikes, and having FUN.

Don't ya just love a happy ending:thumbup

You're much better off keeping the mille bud after all the yellow ones are the bestest bikes in the world:inlove!!!!!!!!!
