Ahhhh, what a weekend to be bikeless!!!! Still no word on the fork bottom, it should be in this week. Tyres were fitted to the wheels yesterday, which have now been fitted to the bike. So it now looks like this.

You can guarentee when i get it back together it'll rain for a fortnight.

looks good :thumbup I would make the silver on the side panel either white or black now whith the white wheels

Please don't get it back together too soon then if you don't mind, I need to finish respraying my bodywork :thumbup

Don't worry mate, it's going to be a month or so before it's all back together, looking at the current weather, a painful month. It's made me turn my attention to my neglected project bike, which i'm aiming to get sorted and MOT'd in the next week or so, At least then i can get a 2 wheel fix.

Woohoo, bazzaz unit is here. Just a few wires to connect then. Looking at the instructions it's a case of identifying the connectors on the existing loom and plugging the bazzaz one in.

Hopefully airbox will be here tomorrow, it would appear that the post office have split the delivery.

The good old Royal mail :jack

The Bazzaz unit isn't as bad as it looks, as you said it's a case of locating the factory conectors and plugging the Bazzaz conectors in, any problems or questions just give me a shout mate. :thumbup

Mark,

Bazzaz unit fitted without too much hassle. took approx 2 or 3 hours including stripping off the fairing and running all looms. Pretty much a piece of cake, the scary part is crimping connectors onto 2 cables. Real pain in the *** bit was the coil connector, probably is simpler if you remove the airbox, i managed to complete it without. Bike started tonight and unit lights up with a nice glow, which i didn't expect, plugged it into my laptop and run the diagnostics and all looked good.

One thing that i wasn't aware of, is that the Bazzaz quick shifter needs aftermarket rearsets (according to the instruction) which i don't have. I'll take a look tomorrow to see if i can rig something up for the time being. I've simply spent too much cash on the bloody thing recently, to start spending more.

No news on the fork lower..... According to Steve Jordan, it should be delivered to them at Brands Hatch this weekend, so i should be able to drop the forks in for the rebuild next week.

Well the fork parts are finally in & they are booked in for a rebuild on Friday. Which means I should have a functioning bike at some point next week....

It left me the small task of trying to work out how I support the bike so I can remove both the forks and shock, a task I wasn't relishing. Anyhow, with a bit of thought it now looks like this.

Roll on next week

f*ck me Smem, those parts have taken a hell of a time to come in stock!!

I did my forks today (the f*ckpig that stole mine and gave me a crap pair back saying "no those are yours mate"!! didn't even have the decency to change the seals and stick new fluid in (I'm truely shocked at what c*nt he's been!) anyways long story short - I managed to get a set of lowers off a chap who front ended his factory racebike, stripped both down today and rebuilt - jobs a goodun :thumbup (now that I've done them I won't be taking them anywhere in the future!!)

Deacs :thumbup

Mate, that sounds nasty. You should name and shame the guy that stole them.

It feels like it's taken an age to get the parts, it didn't help that ohlins sent the wrong part. I'm hoping the wait will be worth it.

blokes name is Kevin Spur (calls himself KS performance) - he apparently does the BSB paddocks suspension (I wonder what they would do if the pr*ck stole from them?!) he'll get his come-upence!!

It'll be worth it matey when you get it back on the road :thumbup sent the wrong parts? (wrong side? wierd!) - I've dealt with so many dodgy f*ckers, I can honestly say the only company I'll deal with now is Aprilia Performance (I know that when I ask them to do somethig it'll be done!)

People on here seem to rate aprilia performance, I'm going to buy a set of their rearset when i get paid. I never looked when i bought the Bazzaz but it's pretty obvious that the standard gear shift is not going to work with the quickshifter, so aftermarket pegs are required.

Thats it then i'm not spending any more money on it......well.......................

Well, after what feels like an age, my bike is back in one piece. For the first time in 3 months it's turned a wheel & I've ridden it the 50 miles to work. Can't say it was used in anger as m25 & m3 are not the best roads at 6.30am.

Both forks and shock feel firmer since the service but it's hard to tell on the road. In all honesty it's just nice to ride it.
