RogerC is spot on, £12.00 torgue wrenches, i wouldn't trust it either

Milleboy, get it into your head your riding a 170 mph road/race bike here. "Tight as fook" is not really the right attitude to have. I don't want to sound like i'm preaching fella but just take a minute to understand what your riding and maybe do some research on some basic home maintenance. These bikes take a little pampering to keep them spot on and mistakes can be costly as you've already found out. Removing the wheels is easy once you know how. It's all in the owners manual, so just read it and follow the procedure one step at a time :thumbup

No worries Legs when it comes down to it im as dedicated as the next man, the bike is finnaly going in to get sprayed on monday, so while its in the garage im going to greese up all the nuts and bolts respray all the black parts eg bottom of the front forks so its all tidy etc and also sort out me Rad Fans, and once thats done ill be ready to start on the back wheel, ill be nipping up to my local motor factors in the next few days to get my torque wench,

Hey MB...2 questions...well maybe 3...ok 4
1 How did you manage to smash it up like that?
2 Did you use thread lock during rebuild?
3 If you can rebuild a front impact like that how come ther rear wheel is giving probs? It's a piece of pi55 compared to what you already done mate
4 Was the impact hard?....if so you might want to get the forks/frame checked for straightness/true

You dissed my sparkly new torque wrench Roger and now it's all upset and cryin in the garage you nasty man! It's refused to do up my nuts until you say sorry. I wondered why it said Talk instead of Torque on the box.

later............i've just eaten it, chocolate craving an all that. P'raps i'll get my arse down Halfrauds then, that'll teach me for being cheap!!

Hey Bagel....if it's a cheap one it will get upset very easily....the better quality ones are much stronger....thicker skinned....and don't take offence when you cuss and swear and throw them across the garage...
:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Ha ha, yeah you're spot on mate! Like it. I'll keep the bastid for knocking nails in 'cos my hammer only cost me £2.13 and it snapped!!! Funny but I always spend a lot of money on shoes and they don't do 170. Come to think of it, I hit 155 last night, i'm off to check that axle nut!!

Bagel...shoes that don't do 170...must be cheap mate..mine do in excess of 500....especially when my arse is strapped to a Boeing 747....:doug

You're too quick for me Roger, litterally.......just remind me, MB82's thread was about removing the rear and now I don't know what shoes to buy for my next holiday.............you're twistin my melons man.....off for a lie down
