Rear Brake Bolts

I had just turned to have another crack at the hill pulled wheelie as you do, went around one corner and just before next corner felt like I ran over somthing(I had) then something hit me in the foot pulled over looked for reason rear brake caliper had lost it's bolts and came off :cry, :cry some more saw wheel rrrrrr ouch f*** bloody sh** :angry :argh cursed myself, found pushbike tube right beside me like is was there waiting for me. Tied up brake to hanger where it can f***en stay useless thing. Looked for bolts but think they have been assholed into river where lucky im not. Proceeded to pull more wheelies in discust then it rained RRRRRRRRRRRR

Moral of the story locktight bolts so this dosnt happen:thumbup

Kin el, close shave that one. Shame there wasn't the bicycle caliper there with the cable, it might of been more effective :biggrin.

the bolts are m6 x 25mm, i know cos the 6 mile ride to my mot centre caused me to lose one, and the other was only just holding the caliper on.

Luckily for me, my local ape dealer is just around the corner, so put another new one on, tightened them up with thread locking compound i blagged from the mot garage, and away i went.

You were defo lucky it didnt cause either you or the bike any damage.

Damage to rim blue paint off every 100mm spoke damage and even ripped balance weights off, caliper has much road rash but yeah apart from being gutted lucky I didnt crash and burn as I was going bulls out, Aprilia even with their issues are a flippin awesome weapon I love it. :thumbup
