No, they're a booted Golf.
Golf, A4, Leon, A3 all have the same smaller platform.
Passat, A6 & Skoda Superb have the longer platform.

As a 6 footer, people used to whinge like hell behind me in the A4's I had, but there must be another 6-10" of legroom for them in the back of the Passat.

Just a thought if you have either friends or family in the back a lot.

hey, lets start a new forum its called...lets talk about cars on a bike forum.com
lol
still think cars SUCK. ha ha
Ck

Fair play CK.
This is the open forum though. We could be talking about the weather eh?!
<Cheers again for the seat pod :thumbup>

Cars don't suck, our weather does. I only have to go 7 miles to work and getting the bike out and locked up, getting dressed up and then down again at work is a pain in the arse for the short ride, BUT, I still do it for fun, until it gets too cold.

I couldn't rely solely on a bike, but the car just serves to keep me warm and dry and comfy while I enjoy loud music. There is no fun left in driving a car for me, now i have a diesel saloon and have come of age. 10 yrs ago when I had no debts and could waste all the money I liked on cars & petrol I loved them,.

Sod quitting a road bike!

aarg not the weather!!!
nae probs, nice wet thrash to work thru the twisties.!!
Yup 7 miles is abit short for a run, you should be getting fit on a bicyle..arf!.
Still dont like cars but hey!...I cant drive one so who cares lol!.
ck

Git yerself a truck CK, evens the score, on treachery to car drivers as they do unto motorbike riders. :D

Screw the bicycle - I would ride if it was flat enough, but the Hill up out of Dover to go home is over a mile long and it takes you from Seal Level to about 300 feet above at a guess. I'd never attempt cycling it! :puke

yeah, nice eh?! :jack

well with asthma and a liking of alcohol, there ain't much I will be donating! Hopefully that won't be in the near future either.
I think the thread needs ending now! LOL

Its going to be an A6 i've decided, just waiting for a TDi to pop up in silver, seen a red one, but they look fugly in red.

Good choice mate. My faithful old five-pot 2.5 oil burner avant just came back across France fully loaded at 110+ to make the ferry. Not bad for 220,000 miles.
