I've been in touch with Dynomax in Lincoln and they quoted me around £350 to supply, fit and custom map a PC111 to my RSV. I think this is resonable. They tell me it will smooth the blips in the power curve plus it could, and i stress could, give a rise in BHP to around 120ish. Apparently RSV's are reknown to kick out varient power. Some are better than others out of the factory. An increase in useable power is what i'm after to get the best from the engine without a reduction in reliability. I want it to breath and fuel the best it can. I spoke about the airbox mods flying around on the forum and was told they can custom map to accomodate what conditions these mods introduce.

Thing is, and that means ST and others in Lincolnshire, if we can arrange a mass fitting and custom maps of our bike together at Dynomax, we should get a reduced rate, plus we could see what mods work and what don't. I want mine done around xmas. Anyone else thinking of doing theres around the same time? Sod the credit crunch i want my bike sorted.

Dynomax are a consentious bunch who give a proffesional service. Check them out on the web, they know their stuff.:thumbup:thumbup

I paid about that, got mine done in Grimsby though, by Gunsters, they are good on the dyno.
With all my mods she went from 118 to 125.9 bhp and +5lbf-ft torque.AND much better fueling.
Get it done matey and let me know I'l come down and stand next to yer bike without ear plugs on!!!, bring on the noise!

Talking about variable power output Micah at Af1 is the race mechanic for their race team and he got quite a few cams from Aprilia to re profile as spares and apparantly he checked them before machining and they varied up to 14 degrees from each other. that's a lot and would explain anomolies in power.

Pc3 ? thinking about one myself.

was going to change my bike in 2009 but credit crunch/ nothing else lighting my fire i think i might just spend some money on it.

did see a brand new Benelli for £6k. that would make a nice second bike and if 6k new they must be peanuts s/h

they are cheap but I think there is dealer and spares back up issues with them?

what was the breakdown on the charging for the 3 ?

I picked up a second hand pcIII from a m8, fitted it meself & got it mapped at bsd, total was £175

I think the PC111 is about £250 brand new retail. Its around £40-£50 dyno time and about half hour to fit, at around £60 an hour . They must make their money in the retail price of the PC.

Pc111!

I ordered mine online from a company in the states and it only cost me £170! :doug Admittedly I did buy it before the collapse of the economy! I just downloaded a map off of the dynojet website. She runs quite nicely and doesn't surge when trickling in traffic. She will eventually go off and be dyno'd for a proper map. I'll endeavor to find the invoice from the company i bought it from. Might take a while as I've just moved house!!!

Ive used Dynomax since they moved to Lincoln...good guys. I have looked at the PCIII route myself but things a bit tight at the mo. I do know if you get your PCIII elsewhere it is quite expensive for the custom map so best to get the package from Max I reckon.

The difference between the PC3's is one version is the deristricted full power race spec, and the other (EX i think) is to deal with the strict emission laws in the states. Unfortunatly they still have to fall in with the emissons laws with mods. Least we don't have to suffer that much! Their local part number (more power racing) is 1020-0029. The Dynojet part no is 902-411. That is PC3 USB covering 00-03 RSV's. Hope that helps!

Usb

PC111USB is the way to go. The USB model has the tuning incriments every 250rpm and the non USB model has it every 500rpm. This means the USB model has twice as much tuning info and makes the bike run a lot smoother.
I had a PC111 that I had custom mapped(500rpm), then changed it for a USB model, loaded my custom map in and turned it to the high resolution map in the options on the software. This turned my custom map into the 250rpm tuning.
Plus with the USB model you can add stuff to it such as a quick shifter and a few other accsessories. :doug

PC 111 USB is first class mod..custom map is the way to go, done on dyno. I gained 6HP and 9 ft/lb of torque with pure fueling adjustment. Makes midrange gain that is so noticeable on the throttle that you won't stop grinning for weeks. :thumbup
