to the people with normal colour frames; was there a big difference when you fitted an ohlins on the rear, my standard shockie is ageing rapidly, af1 sell the rsvr ohlins rear for a good price, just thought i would get some of the boys opinion before i shell out

cheers and beers

Of all my mods, the Ohlins rear shock is my favourite.

You can really feel the quality of the damping, its so much smoother and less 'bouncy'

I picked mine up from Ebay, so i didn't pay full price......but for me it's definitely worth it.

as i have a gold frame perhaps i shouldn't post but anyway... agree with getting the ohlins shock, it is excellent. Also consider junking the crappy sachs damper for a descent one as i just have..
Ohlins on mine now and i have to say it makes a big difference. Much better..

I changed last year. Even a moron like me can recognise the huge difference it makes. More so on the track but also on the road.

i was a bit sceptical at first, i thought, £300 for a damper, will it make much difference ?
Glad i did, its ace, doing cadwell on the 18th march so i'll see what difference on track too !!

I only kept the standard sachs shock on my T for a few hundred miles then replaced it with an Ohlins off ebay.

Big improvement. Still oversprung for me (may need a lighter spring) but the damping (and adjustment of) is great.

Do it!

I say, Aprilia know how to build and set up a bike. The standard equipment is **** hot compared to a lot of the Jap bikes and I think for road use especially nothing needs changing. Ride through the issues or treat yourself to a cbf500 if a Tuono is too much! If you really want to shave tenths of a second off your lap times rather than throwing money try twisting the grip on the right hand side of your handle bar a little bit further round, a little bit earlier and a little bit more often. :)

indeed they do....but before you part with your hard earned...do the maths...

price (exchange rates)
p&p
Import duties (vat) etc...

Get them to write gift on the customs sheet, no tax to pay then. Saved hundreds of pounds doing that.

Wiskin, turn that throttle too hard, too early with the ****** standard shocker and you'll be mercilessly pitched into the nearest hedge !!!
