hi guys just got back from liverpool on my new 2003 tuono and i must say she rides brilliantly !!!!!! what an engine and an inspired choice for my first v twin . i do have one question though , should i be able to hear the engine so much ? it has a knock that increases with speed . unfortunately i have nothing to compare it to besides my blade or r1 and may just be paranoid .please excuse my ignorance

Ear plugs, check the oil when hot, if it doesn't use much don't worry.

would be one of the noisiest engines I have had, between the induction noise and just plain old rattles and so on. Good set of earplugs is the answer, then it sounds sweet

There is no comparison between an inline 4 and the V twin sound of a Tuono.
Mine sounds like a skelleton having a **** in a dust bin. :thumbup

You've not had a Duc then.

just fitted an sp engineering short exhaust , made myself jump starting without the baffle in (neighbours hate me lol ) i think i actualy pood myself just a little . going out for a jaunt shortly , wish me luck !!!!!!

Always ride with ear plugs.... but youve found the best cure for the noisy engine - a noisier exhaust !

Oh... good luck !
