Not a newbie rider, but a newbie member. Took the plunge and flogged me R1 and just bought meself a nice sensible 06 Tuono. :doug

Just thought I'd say Hey up :colgate
 
Sensible and Tuono dont normally go together:devious Welcome to the site buddy. It's very friendly and helpful round here.

is it your first v-twin,and whats your impression so far?
i swear theres more ex R1 riders on here,must be a natural selection,to swtch to aprilia after the yamaha lol.
 
Rode sports bikes for years, but me old neck can't take anymore hammer, so I've had to plump for something more upright. The Tuono was the 1st and only option. :thumbup Had a Fartstorm some years back, so riding a twin wasn't too hard to get back into.

Loving the stomping power. :biggrin Got twin akkys on it, had the mapping switched and I've put the smaller front sprocket on it. On the dyno it kicks out a genuine 129 horses off the back wheel, so its cheesey grins and wheelies all day long :biggrin

Got a slight issue with the fuel light though. Is it normal for it to come on after only about 70 miles and then only need 11.5 litres to fill it again? :confused
 
cool looking bike mate,how many teeth did you drop off the front sprocket?
i see in the pic youve got another aprilia riding buddy.and a fellow chesterfielder/chez vegas!
may cross paths at some point squire,so giz a nod.

im in mastin moor at the moment but bought a new house in pilsley near claycross,should be moving middle of july mate.
i head your way often,goin to powersports for a smoke then out past oakerthorpe and into matlock the back way.

Welcome Skin to the Zone. Very nice Aprilia mate..i can definately understand the neck pain from sport riding positions. Has the Tuono sitting position reduced the pain considerably. May have to migrate to this soon myself :biggrin
 
reet yoof iam not far from you on the notts derbyshire border nice bike you have there:thumbupwelcome to the zone about petrol light someone on here says you will ony see 67 ish miles to the tank if you rag it but most of us get around 109 before reserve comes on so you must be blatting everywhere if you steady off you should see 100 plus to the reserve but wont be as much fun later tater

Sorted it :thumbup Got the onset of Cervical Spondylosis and sitting up has been the answer. can still keep up with me mates easy enough too
