It's gettin to the stage now I'm just desperate to get it done so I can get some miles in before I go on honeymoon,I've done less than 1000 since I got it!!!!!

lol,i go out no matter what mate, ive done near 4000miles in just over 2 months.
its good working nights as i can get a ride in most days, weather dependant.

need to get the new tyres on before I can go out again they are totally shagged but should hopefully get it to the guy this week and that gives me a week of blasting before the big day!

Try the 42 on the rear if you have it anyway, 15/42 will be quite noticeable, you wanna try holding on to my factory with 138bhp at the rear wheel with 15/46 or 47 on it:eek:

lol,i bet thats a handfull badger!
ill try 15/42 first then, but may buy a 44 with it just incase and a new chain for later.:thumbup

I bought mine with 1500 miles clocked and after reading these, I'm gonna check if the gearing been altered..When I'm on my own I can steam away from lights, but with my lad on it wheelies in the first 2 gears really easily (And I can't do them, always panic when it lifts)

woohoo!!! Finally dropped the bike off today, turns out the guy is very familiar with milles and the rotrax engine as he used to own a tuono,so I should have her back by saturday with new pirelli shoes and 15/44 gearing:biggrin:biggrin

I will let you know how I get on with the new gearing big fella, unless I wheelie myself speechless that is:devious:eatcorn

Anyone tried a 15/40 combination, just had new set on an last minute need to basis and having dyno /powercommander session tomorrow:doug, because ive done less than 100 mile since new chain/sproc I can get away with a new front but cant afford to get a rear sproc as well.:dowhat

yeah i have a 15/40 on at the moment, i did notice a small difference from the stock 16/40 more so round town than owt else but have a shiny new 42 waiting to be put on then that should be fun:devious

Got a 15T on order to try on my 2003R , rear is still 42 , it came with a 16T on front so i've never known difference from a 17T can't wait to try the 15T .
Am i right in thinking theres a diff between the old and new model ? as some of the numbers on here seem very extreme . Be helpful if people can say which model .
Cheers
Rawly

15/42 will be fine on your bike mate, for road use anyway, are you the same Rawly from TM?

Just recieved the new rear sprocket I ordered, which is supposed to be standard gearing, my chain & sprockets buggerd. But thought I'd get a decent looking rear instead of the plain alloy ones..It says 42 and 525 pitch to fit 04 on Rsv's. Mines on a 06 plate but 05 model..So what should it have on the front?

16/40 tooth is standard, but most, including me drop to 15 tooth front. Badger swears by 15/42 for the 04 on models, which will be my next step.

the 42t rear is standard for the classic mille mate,as said above,40t is the standard rear for the new shape bikes.

Yes, just wiped crud of of sprocket and it says 40, packaging on new sprocket says 42 to fit 04 on..Would rather keep it standard gearing as fine for me, so will need to change front to? Anyone.
