Hi Aldo 08,

You're very welcome - the more the merrier!

Whereabouts are you based?

RBD

Hi RBD.
I'm up in Glasgow. I know a good bike route from Glasgow to Killin that takes you over the Campsie Hills to Aberfoyle and through the Dukes Pass to Brig "O" Turk, if the weather's dry its a brill run but if you go on a weekend day it's wall to wall plod from Brig O Turk, anywhere East or West. If you can give me some details on what your planing I could either come down and meet you or meet up somewhere near me.
Cheers Aldo 08.

Welcome, Roxy. Glad you're here.

I've got an '07 I bought new (my second) back in December. As good as you find it to be when you crack that throttle, you'll find that, like many bikes, it get's even sweeter after about 3,200 Km. Grim Northern England? Doesn't the oak, the ash and the bonnie ivy green more than compensate?

Cheers Aldo - I know some of tose roads up there quite well. Used to cycle around there when I was a student at Glasgow School of Art back in 1993-96. There was a killer climb that used to sort the men from the boys.

I'm hoping to come up through Alston and Moffat, passed my mate in Carluke and up via Airdrie and Cumbernauld, then maybe via the Crow Road? If I meet up with my mate from Carluke I'll let him lead that bit anyway.

Stoney. My mate was the metalwork teck at the college untill last summer when he was paid off. I spoke to him during the week and he said he had put his old bike back on the road, a Le Mans Mk11 circa 1976. If you can let me know what your planing it might just give him enough time to organise.

Cheers.
