Just to say hello to everyone. :cheers

I'm from the grim North of England, where occasionally we're allowed almost a day of sunshine.

Pick up my Tuono 1000R tomorrow night, its an 07 with a few mods done, so hopefully will be putting a smile back on my face.

Done the japanese plastic rockets for the last few years since I last owned a Mille R in 2001.

Looking forward to being back on a twin. :yes

I'm having my Tuono delivered tomorrow to ..weather forcast is **** for a few days ...Can't belive that we have had two weeks of decent weather then on the day I get the bike it's gonna piss down...:pissleft..

Welcome Roxy. You'll love it. What part of the North do you hail from? just remember we dont like to tell the southerners about our great roads up here, so keep up the grim charade!

Sssssh, I'm from Sheffield, the base of the peak district, but the southerners won't like it, its just horrible, wet, grim and very cold with roads of little interest. (Ahem):no
 
I'm in Leeds and its much the same up here. North Yorkshire is just dull dull roads, no hills, no bends, loads of cops...rubbish for biking......honestly!

You`re not wrong there , you`re on the wrong side of the hill ,at least we do have the odd bend in Lancashire :cheers

Yorkshire is so bad, I dont know why I bother riding!/

I mean the road from Ripon to Hawes - boring!!!!!, Hawes to Ribblehead - yawn, Ribblehead to Settle - straight as a die.

























only kidding of course - Yorkshire rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbup
 
And as for the roads up here in Scotland - don't even go there..........!

Try going even further north where i am where it always rains and is bloody cold as well. I am also new to the twin experience and also have a 2007 T R and am loving it, better than the rice rockets.

Hope the weather hold out for you and enjoy.
 
I'm new here too, but I tell you you southern boys have it cushy with your weather and nice roads compared to the hideous climate of Glasgow and the utter boredom of the landscape that surrounds the city. You just stay down there. You'd be far too bored with the likes of the freshly resurfaced Dalmally road let alone the eyesores of the rest of the west coast, the pinnacle of which is the Isle of Skye. Ugly as sin, I'll have you know.

Looks like my first long run on the new bike will be Sheffield to Inverness :drool

June 5th to 8th hooning round the coast of Scotland, lets hope the fuel stations are evenly spaced !
 
I'm there too with the Boxertrix crew that weekend. Giz a shout if you're anywhere near Killin?

How come you can't make my hair curl? Fairdos I don't have any!!!!!!!!!

I think my Scotland trip overlaps with your France one? We're (me and Mrs Stoney on her Daytona) going up on the 5th and back on the 7th. I'll be meeting a mate from Carluke on the way up in Moffat for the journey up to Killin. If he doesn't bring his misus you may want to join us for a bit? If does bring his missus she just passed her DAS and may be a little slower than everyone else.

I'm back form Italy on the 3rd June Stoney, so could I well be up for it - but the Missus may have something to say about that seeing as I've been away on my own for 2 weeks!
But give me a call that week after the 3rd June and I'm sure I could sneak out for a few hours - some fookin' great roads around here that I simply must show you!
