Howdy folks, site newbie here, my name is Massimiliano but most call me Max, Italian obviously but live in London UK, ride a red RSV 1000 '00 shape with Playstation 2 Haga rep stickers all over it and since I enjoy reading your forum I finally decided to join you all.

Thank ye kindly Sir

Would post a pic of the beast but haven't worked out how to yet.

Just booked a track day on the 29th at Ty Croes, think I'll take the SV tho' as I'm used to that. Wouldn't do to chuck the new toy at the scenery before I've posted any pic's would it?

Thanks for the tip about the stand, going to try a pm now.

Ian

Ian once you have loaded your pictures onto your computer open an account on www.Facebook.com then download the pics from your computer onto facebook, once you have done that copy the IMG code below the picture and paste it onto the reply box(the one i'm typing onto now) and away you go your pics should be done hope that helps

another new guy

Hi everybody im the proud owner of an 01 mille r id just like to say hello to everyone

Hi, though I better introduce myself as I'm about to ask a question in the main forum...

I'm Mike, I upgraded to a 2004 RSV in "fast silver" about 5 weeks ago, been throwing miles and corners at it ever since. Upgraded from a VFR 750, and can't help feeling the the viffer wont be the last V4 I end up owning!:devious

Compared to the VFR riding the RSV feels like walking an angry dog, brilliant! It looks awesome, it's nice and involving to ride, and thanks to the akro's everyone at work knows if I've turned up on time - what more could I ask for.

I'm based in peterborough and I'm constantly on the lookout for rides that I can add to my dossier of 1hr "laps" that we can fit into a lunchtime ride - I'll happily share with other locals, however most are well known anyway...

NICE CLEAN LOOKIN BIKE MATE.AS YOU CAN SEE WITH MINE I LIKE EM CLEAN ;-)

hello all,

finally bought myself an 08 rsv after debating for almost 2 years on getting one, just come from a gsxr600k6 onto the mille, just gotta get my head round not riding it like my 600 lol, first impressions are that it feels a little snatchy on the throttle, not sure if this is a fuelling issue or just a characteristic of the engine, used to being able to adjust the throttle and put the power on mid-corner really smoothly with the 600, where as the mille seems to come in with a big dollop of power, awesome coming out of corners and sounds great with the akro cans.

Cheers

Paul

G'day there Paul, Congratulations on a nice 08 Ape purchase mate, you will learn to love these machines i'm sure. :thumbup
Most alter the gearing ration of their sprockets, this smoothes things up no end, also ensure throttle cable slack is at a minimum, but not binding when you full lock yer bars. :eatcorn
You can find many threads on this site regarding gearing or pretty much any other topic around the RSV..just do a search in the drop down box mate.
So welcome to the RSVzone and the world of Apes ol mate...enjoy both. :biggrin
Regards, Aus :pirate

Post some photos if available Paul, keen to see yer new ride bud!
