Hi Chaps, I stumbled on this site whilst trying to find out how fast i can go with bored out throttle bodies.

It's nice to be here. See you around. :thumbup

hiya matey, so..did you bore them out past 57mm?
cheers Ck

i haven't done it yet, I was after some pointers. as far as i can tell it's going to cost me£400+ and I wondered what gains i can expect or what else i can do either to make the most of it or as an alternative?

thanks for replying.

On my 02, I simply got a set of colin edwrads rep 57mm TB's which slot straight in, your other option if to retro fit some later model TB's, but it needs some modification, or get a set bored out at RSVR or Ducati Kaemna.
It has made a difference,in power gains all over the range, but in conjunction with all the mods I've done its difficult to know the real gains on their own
Certainly a PC111 is the first step, then the usual airbox mods etc. Dont bother with iridium sparks. TBH-the items that have made the most diffence to the my fun have been the PC111, full race syatem and CF wheels. The weight loss alone must be worth 20 bhp!!

Afternoon all,

Picked up my 1st ever Mille yesterday and I love it! Just introducing myself and glad I've found what looks a great owners zone. Will try and get a pic on here asap!

welcome Guildy mate, some good peeps on here. Get some pix up too!

Welcome Guildy, enjoy the Millie and the zone! I'm a newbie myself and the help and advice I have received of these guys is second to none. This is a top site :banana

Hi everyone, bought an rsv after riding 848 ducati, know it sounds irish but a mate has a 1098,build quality is rubbish, paint chips everywhere, panels with rough edges, leaking rear head gasket, exhaust with a hole in the welds, decided i wanted a big v twin, aprilia build quality seems to be so much better. Was a bit concerned the bike might not have enough grunt to put a smile on my face, had a T595 b4 after various in line fours/1000cc v4 honda some years ago but yeah, every time i ride it im smiling!!!!Oh and it handles!

Welcome new APE riders...smart move staying away from those new Dukes...certainly have many faults from the tales i've heard from owners also.
As for this forum, you have found one of the best, friendliest and information packed Aprilia post pages out on the World Wide Wait.
Many, wise & knowledgable folk on this site.
Oh, and mate, they can take the piss like no other...certainly a very cheap source of entertainment flmao Enjoy yer Apes, enjoy this forum..& if you do, subscribe & make us all the stronger please.
Cheers & Respects, Aus

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Now. can somebody advise me how to get a picture on to my profile? Just so when I post a message everyone can see how gorgeous my bike is? I'm a knob with computers! Cheers

Hi Guildy, this link should help you to achieve what you want to do
http://www.rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18

I hope the link works as I've not added one before! If itdoesn't work mate just copy and paste it into your address bar in Internet Explorer and that should do iy.

As it says in the thread, you will need to resize your picture to 150 x 150 to be able to use it as an Avatar.

Hey all, I'm about to trade my sv650 for a 02 mille with 20k on the clock and in very good nick apart from some cracking/fading on some stickers, i test rode it yesterday and loved it, prefered it to the 04 R1 i test rode first,

Is there any thing i should be looking out for on the mille, any common problems i should be aware of, a mate reckons they suffer from electrical problems??

53k and counting with no major problems, used and abused all year round even in the pissing wet. lots of advice and previous posts on sparg clutch/starting techniques.
As long as you look after them, you should have no major woes. the motor is brilliant and fairly bombproof. plus they scrub up well.
cheers Ck

Oops I missed this thread, anyhoo ive just bought an '01 mille after wanting one for long enough, just need the damn weather to clear up so I can take it for a blast to willingham or squires.

Hi not long joined had a 1998 r1 for 6 years too reliable! love to tinker to much cannnot beat the stomp and noise of the rsv!

That is a great photo: the sunset over the bike. Very cool.

new here

Hi, new to the forum thing. Live in Perth sunny Scotland. Owned every freakin' bike going since i was 14 (now 44), I bought my 2003 RSV Edwards Replica new, and have nothing but praise for it. Now just reached 10,000 miles, hassle free.

What a great looking and friendly site.

might see some other RSV's at the bike show soon, once the bloody snow goes!

Cheers
