What a pain these were to fit :jack, you can only just reach in with the tips of your fingers to get the washer and nut on :jack. Then when i'd done one side and started the other i realised they are left and right handed so off they came and back on the right way now :doug

Just what i thought , i had a spill not so long ago and ruined the fairing so just to be on the safe side eh :thumbup

That metal is very shinny, need to get on the case with mine just finding the time at the minute is proving to be a a little difficult.

Yeah , dont know why though , it was a minta when i got it and it looks well looked after, although i do tend to clean and spoil it a lot.
More mods on the way :doug

Worth every penny, saved me a big bill after my spill on the cbr6 :thumbup

Where's your rear hugger Steve :dunno

I probably missed it earlier, but where did you get them and how much were they?
Thanks for the info.

Rear hugger was not on the bike when i got it sprocker :roll, the screws that hold the hugger down were snapped off by previouse owner, APPARENTLY thats a common problem and if you do manage to get them out its wise to put some copperslip on re fitting .
Thats just something else i need to get sorted out as well :roll:thumbup

Got them off ebay £35 inc p&p :doug i think they were from RACE SUPPLIES DIRECT ,i know the r&g ones are better but went for these and they fit a treat :thumbup

easy outs soak them in WD first, and if that fails out comes the drill (dont slip). Steel, water and alloy hmmmmm interesting combo

2 of the screws are almost flush with the swing arm and the others seem stuck fast, like with loctite :jack. Only one option for it me thinks and thats to drop the swing arm down so i can get a good angle to drill the blighters out :thumbup

Go to a hire shop and hire a 90 degree drill, cheap to hire, easier than dropping the swing arm and fits in the gap a treat :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

Why do you say R+G are better mate ? they all do the same job, its only a brand name and ya pay more for a brand name :thumbup

From what i can see , its like everything :confused you pay for the name i guess.. its just that i mentioned i was getting some to ck and he said hope they are R&G . Like you say they all do the same job and hopefully i wont be finding that out... well not before my knee goes down first :devious:thumbup

Steve mate dont follow the crowd, ya got a nice set of bobbins there, if ya can buy it cheap go for it and anyway you can always get R+G stickers and nobody would know, the more stuff ya get cheap the more money it leaves to get more for the bike, who's the fool.....not you :thumbup:thumbup

Yeah know what you mean , thats why im doing the air box mod myself. Ive seen an air box kit on ebay and its going in auction at the min for over £160  air box to do next , then the rear seat cowl painted and some other top secret stuff :doug keep me busy :thumbup

I agree...I had R&G's on my CBR and after a spill it was fooked anyway so it only saves your pride and joy once. Why pay double the money for only one usage. :dunno

Yup, i do recomend these though if ya aint got any yet :thumbup, Good fit and come with the cutouts to slot the fairing edges into . Make sure you fit the correct side bobbin to each side though... its a fiddly job if you got big hands :roll.. i was going to ask me fine lady to help me out with her nimble fingers :devious but wanted to do it myself , i did and fitted the wrong side on first but never told her that :roll :laugh:laugh:laugh
