I will have a butchers at the ECU tomorrow, any special process/sequence required to remove it or just simply unplug?

Cheers, Does it matter If I disconnect it? Don't fancy taking the cover off whilst its in situ.. I have a system 3 alarm if that makes any difference? Took her our for a spin this evening to Kelly's fish and chips, it runs so well!!!

Plugs don't look to tricky to change, ordered some flex joint socket adapters to help out though. Will be ordering plugs, oil and filter from Tash on Saturday. Valve clearances will be done first then the bike warmed up for the oil change after. Need to find my feeler gauges doh!

It is very loud, I am addicted to the sound already! It is clever how it works.. It also has the earlier model inlet section. Any idea about removing the ecu redratbike?
 
seat off ,and unplug it...seat cowl off to remove it ,4 screws..cover off..look at the chip..see whats written on it.aftermarket or standard normally have something on a label.may well be done already if someone has done the airbox..take a pic and post on here..replace cover..if a standard chip which you'll know after asking us lot place an order for either a gabro or a forza italia chip over on rsvr.net from edelliot

Got her apart and found an "Evo" Chip? Looks like its on the back of another one?

no your can is an Akra completly different shape from an evo can ,thought it might have a chip in it...modded colector next or has it already got one?
 
Affirmative, is the chip I have standard? I think it already has the modded collector done.. Need to remove the lower fairings to check I think.. looking for 2 extra pipes welded on right?

So the chips make quite a bit of difference? And they adjust the timing?
 
nice result there.
the other bit to the chip is a daughter board and comes with that type of chip.
Check the collector next to see if it has the extra pipes welded in like this.

evo titanium was an aprilia chip soldwith the evo ti can...there are probably better chipsout there but how much difference they make is a personal thing..and yes 2 extra pipes welded in..

Sweet, sounds good to me! It doesn't have the collector mod unfortunately.. and I have just found that it has a small oil leak from the oil rad connection and bottom of the oil reservoir connection also. Will be removing the fairings this weekend to give it a good clean and to stop the leaks. Who does the modded collectors? Is it redrat? Going to first of all take care of servicing but will be interested in the collector mod and pc3 later next year :cheers
 
yeah i do the modded collectors..get in touch when you are ready and if going pc3 route dont forget a decent dyno run to get the best out of it
 
Took the side and belly fairing off today to give it a further clean and see where the oil was coming from.. turns out it was wd40 and acf that has ran down the engine. I thought it was oil was the colour and amount of it.

How much is it for a Modded collector? I would ideally like to keep my standard one also.. can you give me a price for exchanging mine and for a Modded collector worth no exchange please?
