Milky leak?

Ive got a question. I'm an active duty Marine, and I just got my bike out of storage. Its an 04 RSV 1000 Factory with only 5k on the clock. I installed the battery and started it up and noticed some milky water coming out of the belly pan. I pulled off the fairings and noticed that it was coming from the top front of the engine, but I couldnt exactly see from where. It isnt a steady leak. I tried to replicate it again and it didnt leak at all after 10 minutes of running. I was just wondering if this was common and something small due to condensation or is it something big like a head gasket. The oil doesnt look milky, the bike runs smooth and isnt overheating or anything crazy like that. ANY help would be greatly appreciated

Firstly I'd check the water for oil as if you've got a gasket leak and it's letting water into the oil it'll most likely be letting oil into the water. If there is evidence of oil in the water then it'll deffo be a gasket leak.
What is most likely though is that as it's been left standing you have had a lot of condensation in the engine and it's mixed with the oil and has come out of the engine breather. I would flush and change the oil and water then just keep a check on it, it should be ok
good luck

my girlfriend suffered the same symptoms turns out she was preggers...........:biggrin

Most likely a radiator leak, put some talc powder on it to see where the leak is coming from.

Its really weird. It pukes out like a few tablespoons of liquid all at once right when it hits 180F, and then it stops and doesnt leak again. I cant see exactly where it is coming from because it evaporates as soon as it hits the block.

I checked the water and there isn't any oil in it.... Where exactly is the engine breather at? I think that may be the problem because if it was a radiator leak then it would be leaking all the time. Ive been toying around with it off and on all day and it will do it if I let it cool down all the way and then allow it to warm up again. Whats really interesting is that it won't leak at all until its warm and I rev the engine. When I do that, it pukes a bunch of water, and then stops.

sounds to me like the hose clips are slack.

so as pressure builds from start up fluid oozes out and as it gets hot it stops as heat causes it to tighten .

check hose clamps and the rad drain plugs etc

and if its only a small amount this is most likely cause .

are you needing to top up the coolant all the time ?
