Ey up peeps can anyone help, I had a blond moment which resulted in a button pressing session on the old meta alarm ! However ,now although it all works, it has stopped beeping on arming and dissarming. The Hazzards still flash correctly.
I have checked the manual but it doesn't mention anything.
Cheers

I had the Meta when I bought the T . Had to press the button and then I could start , no beeps or even indicator flashes. After a few months the T wouldn`t start .............. warranty . They collected and found it to be a fault with the alarm. A few months and the same thing happened , no warranty.. Sod it disconnect the alarm.... ?? , lost in wiring.Had a word with mechanic , he disconnected for me as I didn`t want anymore hassle.
Been OK since. I look at it this way ,if they want it badly enough they will steal it with or without alarms etc.

I have an installation manual for a Meta somewhere - ISTR that the "beep" function is controlled by connecting or disconnecting one of the wires. It doesn't effect it's performance.

You could try;

1, disconnect the battery overnight and let it reset.
or
2, arm it, then rattle the bike and set it off.

I had a meta go awol on my old zx9r, it ate 3 batteries@£50 a pop :-(
After a while I ended up having to take the seat off, disconnect a wire attach a 9v battery just to disarm it!
I had it removed and no more probs. imho ditch the alarm and invest in a decent chain

To be honest I hate alarms. Bloody pain in the arse.
The T came with 1 fitted and it gets on my **** having to press the button each time you refuel etc.

I hate alarms as well but it was already fitted, I do tend to agree with the removal suggestions though. I just thought that as it due to my frantic button pressing there may be a simples solution. Oh well it probably won't get ridden till next year so i will look into removing it. Cheers peeps

Alarms are only good for reducing your insurance. Spend the £3-400 quid on decent chains and park way from the neds and crap drivers. I have a Datatool Red and that drains the battery fookin quick, they always have done. The upside is that they do have a few extra options over the Meta's.
