A truly awfull Christmas and New Yr for Stefano.
Well as some of the local South East guys on here may already know I received a call from Stefano's wife last week who is fellow zoner and local riding pal who I met on here and lives not very far from me.
His wife said that as I had sent him a Merry Christmas text on Christmas Day,She thought I ought to know that 2 days previous he had been involved in a very serious motorcycle accident on his way home from work late at night on the A21. He had been critically ill in ICU up untill last week and has now only just been put on a ward.
After speaking to him today It appears that he hit some black ice on his Diversion 900 his winter hack bike, and went through the centre reservation barrier and came to rest on the north bound dual carriageway where he was then run over by a TRANSIT VAN .

2 broken legs , broken pelvis and some severe internal organ damage.
Still waiting for further leg surgery as well.

Christ I thought I had a bad Christmas and new yr, but this really puts things into perspective when something like this happens to a true friend.

He said if wasn't for the great doctors and nurses he would not be here now.:(

christ, sounds like one lucky chap! hope he makes a speedy recovery m8. btw where abouts in the southeast are you?

******* hell:eek:

dont know the guy but wish him all the best from me:thumbup

Dave, if you speak to him again in the coming days...please pass on my best, and I wish him a speedy recovery and that I will buy him a coffee when ever he is ready for a meet up.

I would like to travel up to Tunbridge Wells to see him tomorrow but my daughter has a birthday party in the afternoon so may have to try and pop in mid week hopefully.
I will pass on everyones messages of support and get well comments when I see him next.

Thanks all.:thumbup

I remember the week before Christmas was really cold and miserable in London and even worse in the East and south. I guess is difficult to judge when is wise to choose a alternative transport. I wish him a speedy and throughout recovery.

Fu-k me

Dave wish him well from me fella,Stefano's a really nice guy **** new.:exclamation

Oh ****, really sorry to hear this :eek:mg I have only met him once, on the Kent ride out last Sept and he's a really nice guy. I am also from Hastings and we met up and rode up together. I can't believe this, to crash and then be run over really doesn't bear thinking about. Get well soon mate.
