This is the difference between pro sliding and poser sliding.
If you are riding fast enough to have to get your knee down for bike control, ie racing and have lots of ability then no need to turn foot out. If you are just learning to get your knee down you will be in the pose bracket. Due to not having:
1- loads of lean angle kahooners,
2- ability,
3- decent track rubber,
4- track grip.
all the help in the world is needed. turning toes out allows you to get your knee to touch down at less lean angle than would normaly be required.
as you improve and get more confident greater lean angles come requiring less contorting and hanging off like a gibbon.
The name on the guys leathers in the picture gives it away, i don't think its his first time.

come out on a rideout and we'll teach you!:devious

on a private road :lol

What you going to teach me.... how to wheelie round a roundabout :lol on a private road of course :yes:yes

you 'll be down within a hour :devious

speed has nothing to do with it mate all about body positioning everybody thinks they are leaning well over 9 times out off 10 it is the way you are positioned on your seat some people try it and not even move and wonder why?:lol:lol:thumbup

Hello Rat................D and welcome to the site :thumbup I love marmite :inlove

Hey Rat
strangely, do like the bike although very, very different and nowhere near as capable as the K5 thou I traded. Love the idea of modding it to make it the bike it should be because the k5 was only really worth chaning cosmetically, love the v twin thump and the commotion it makes everywhere, amused by the massive amount of attention it gets compared to what i thought was a much better bike, and like the forums and commaradarie the mille generates. I am totally shocked by how slow i think i am going only to look down at the clocks and realise this bike is quick. that must be a twin thing, used to much more buzzy-ness.
cant wait to get it dialled in on the suspension and the tyres and throw it about with real abandon come summer. so far, so good.... can only see me going back for the v4
