Alright guys, well going through my paper work it seems its MOT time at the end of the month:eek:

Gave the bike a good wash this weekend and as of this morning the clocks are not displaying all the digits. So when im riding at 80 I see what looks like a bit of a 3 and maybe the top of 0. the rest of the clock display is like it. Im thinking (hoping) it has water in the clocks and can be dried out.

Any ideas on what I can do? Not to keen on taking the clocks off as I will loose the mileage and this would be the second MOT with 3 miles it :)

Found a new clock set on ebay but 170 I thought was too higher price.

Any help guys, please :)

What year is it? I've had the clocks off my 99 and 02 and they never lost mileage, just got reset to KMH with the 6K shift light. Is everything pushed into the connectors properly inside the clocks?

Id remove it and spay all the connectors with that electircal contact cleaning stuff you can get from Halfrauds. Failaing that chuck it in the tumble dryer lmao :p

The bike is 2005 which has the old 2004 reset clock issue. Found out when I brought the bike :(
Just one of them things. Im going to try to open the clocks with out removing from the bike (unplugged) and dry them. if this doesnt work, will it fail the mot if you can't read the digits fully? I'll take a picture later :)

I don't think the speedo is tested on an MOT (even though it's a legal requirement), so just so you don't get any issues in the MOT you could put some tape over the speedo display. What they don't test, and can't see won't hurt them :D

need to see it for the mileage to write down on the MOT. foingers crossed it dries out in time then

well its buggered! had the thing in bits still connected to the bike with a hair dryer. nothing changed. Removed it and did the same and then left over night in the airing cupboard. plugged back in today and still the same

Not the best pics but your get the idea. So in major need of some replacement clocks or just hte board :D
Not paying £458 from Aprilia for some 8)

Let me know if you hear of any going cheap guys please. its funny riding trying to work out your speed. am I doing 60 or is that 80? lol

got 2 weeks to sort something out

Well that's a bugger. Seems strange that the speedo digits have all lost their top and top right 'light bars'. Have you had a look on the PCB to see if there are any broken or poor solder joins or corrosion?
