You only just had the bike delivered didnt you?! That was quick work - or had they already been done? Can you find neutral ok?

No mate I've had my Ape for 3 years but only got my MPL yesterday and the jet i have had for about 2 years and never got round to fitting it..the clutch feels better but i havn't had chance to ride it yet..will let everybody know if it is any easier to find neutral

sorry mate - my mistake! Was a little tired this morning! Hope the MPL works out anyway - I found it a lighter.

the clutch feels a little little easier but i have pazzo short levers and it's never going to be good....It sounds like this jet mod has had mixed results, I checked the jet that came out and it had the 60 in it and i had to go into 2nd and dab it into neutral before so i'm expecting it to be better

Changed mine today in a 2002 Mille. Seems to go into neutral easier but it still tends to go from 1st to 2nd without hitting neutral unless you're very careful, then you have to tap it back down from second and it goes to neutral. At least it does that now when it's standing still - you had to be moving before I changed the jet.
I found the job quite fiddly because I couldn't see the jet for oil! Although it only leaks a small amount of oil, it fills the hole all the time so you can't see anything inside. Had to do it by touch and it was difficult to hook the thing out.

I have a 2006 R and it's a nightmare to select neutral. I guess mine already has the .40 jet in place though??

Not sure about the jet size in a 2006 R. I think they were meant to be .40 from 2006 onward. Worth changing I guess if there's any doubt. It's been a few months since I changed mine and i'm glad I did the job. I've stopped thinking about the old problem of having to get into neutral before stopping.

Identification of the Original Jet.

Guys!!

Is the 60 jet inscribed as such and is it just an item replacable with a 40 off the shelf of any dealer?? The reason I ask is the astonishingly large amount of lolly for the Aprilia part!

Thanks in advance:thumbup

Will this work for my 02 rsv?
Yes it does, old thread but if you've just recently bought an older rsv, make this the first job you do. Goes in neutral first time every time now with the slightest pressure on the gear lever.
