High air flow Performance open air filter kits

The hose yes your write it is heavy duty,however it is air and oil quality so it suites the purpose also means that as its a good fit when pushed upto the plate it doesn't need another jubilee clip to hold in place.I could of got some cheaper hose but i choice not to because of these points.

As for the tb's the rear rh side bolt yes i know, the throttle body bolt heads are over kill aret they. No real way round this as the blow out needs to be there to clear the sensor.As my own one has been on and of a few times its just dented the plate and lays flat by its self.

on a slightly separate note, i removed my airbox the other day to do the 9000 mile service and there are no trumpets on my throttle bodies. the bike came with a foam filter and carbon plate to replace the airbox, so presume that maybe they did not fit with that setup and the previous owner has thrown them away?

Question ? so what happens with the crankcase fumes that were originally vented to the airbox to be burnt? you will surely get an oily mist expelled from the small filter making a mess all over the engine?

Are now im glad you've cleared that one up so the oil was burnt in the OEM air box was it :dunno

no, of course it's not supposed to be burnt in the airbox. but it is supposed to be sucked back into the engine to be burnt, with the remainder of the oil that does not get sucked in dropping into the bottom of the airbox to be drained out via the drain tube at service time.

i'm not confusing anything. perhaps you are if you think that a sealed airbox pulls a vacuum when it has a massive opening through that large round hole through the ducting to the outside air? :dunno any depression that the intake stroke creates is the other side of the throttle plate

hopefully all of our engines are in good enough condition not to create a large amount of oil mist in the breather fumes, but if they do it will surely come out of this hose and go everywhere. maybe a separate little catch tank somewhere that could be inspected and drained if necessary would be a good idea, that's all i'm saying

found my trumpets, they were still fitted to the carbon plate rather than having been refitted inside the airbox :roll

Yep mate that's about it :thumbup.
And that is why i have fitted a crack case filter to my plates.The oil that would either drain back or collect in the air box ( OEM ) .
My crank case filter works in the same way as the original filter box. The oil will come up hit the vented filter and drain back into the engine in the same way. When you service the air filter / remove to inspect you can clean the filter if you wish :biggrin

And unless you've modified your plate or engine breather the oil will be keeping your fairings nicely lubricated :thumbup

thanks craig. i have not been using it with that filter plate fitted as the previous owner put the std airbox back on before sale (without the velocity stacks).

There may be a number of different reasons why after confirming your order and your kit being ready that you haven't paid. However after being contacted and advised that i have made your kit and that it is ready to be posted,i will now only hang onto it for 7 days.After this time i will let some else waiting in the Que have yours.I will amend your order to canceled and if you still want your filter kit you will have to re-order it.

or have the last 2003 Edwards rep which came standard with 57s.The reason being is that the base plate will need to be slightly bigger around the velocity stacks and the base plate itself needs to be 7.5mm thick :confused

Nick no worries.

(without the velocity stacks) Get these refitted weather OEM / RENE !

Some people have re-routed there breather hoses over the chain.
Not really sure about that :dunno

However just get yourself a crack case filter and some some sought of pipe to connect it, And then drill a hole through the plate somewhere you can get the filter to locate.
the Renegade is a good plate ( Ive just made mine a bit different )
