My "board" sits flat to the throttle bodies when viewed from the side, so there is no gap.
==========================================================Aha, sound good! :biggrin
I think I have to cut some from the trumpets then.
What i was thinking of was the "sealing-place" of the original air-box, if it have "cuts" for the sealings so the box sits flat or its only press the sealings in the throttle-body "cuts" and the plastic is formed to press down round this hole. Meant as a question if the original have this gap and formed plastic for that hole or just flat bottom, its looked formed i thought but mayby not then. Dont have my bike here so cant just look.
And then a small question more, what are the "cuts" in those trumpets bottom made for?
I had to trim down the trumpets on mine as they projected below the "carbon board" too far.
In fact I cut them off flush , it wont hurt the performance any and it allows the "board" to sit properly i.e : flat on the throttle body housing.
The little hole is a drain hole - my guess.
However im confused. What year and model ,ive gone to vast lengths to get this write.
I am going to resend you fitting instructions mate :thumbup
Just wondering, do you keep the o-rings that are fitted on the trumpets? If so where do they locate on the new board as on the old airbox there is a recess for them to sit in, but not on the new one,
Cheers
Also, just nmeasured the holes in the plate and on the airbox that the trumpets locate in, on the standard airbox they are 58.5/59mm, with the c/bore on the underside (that the o-rings locate in) being being 64.5mm, but on the new plate the holes are about 60.25mm, therefore the there is a massive gap between the trumpets and the plate, and also no-where for the orings to go. Would be grateful for a bit of advice as I'm probably just doing it wrong!
Thanks again
