Hi there!

The RSV is already causing me sleepless nights. I stay up (seriously!) daydreaming about how awesome (and slightly scary) it'll be when I get one :biggrin.

I need to get back into touch, cos this scares me ever so slightly hahaha.

I did that when I was due to get mine. You`l love it, at first you will lock the back on engine braking, and hit the limiter alot lol, yes the front comes up fairly easy (not as much as my R1`s did) But it has such massive engine braking so its very easy (and rather impressive) to control, you`l see.
Welcome by the way, I still say My Rs`s were up there with the best handling bikes I`v ever ridden. Learnt to destroy sliders on it :D

Sorry are you trying to cheer me up, or trying to scare me off? :p
Does the RSV have any storage? I know I know it's a supersports, but it'd be nice to get a packet of **** under the seat cowl or whatever?

Well mines an 02 Haga rep (google image) mmmm. So it has ***** loads of storage. However not so sure about the gen2 shape...

Ha not trying to scare you bud, but it is what it ism best you get ready for it, as your gonna get one anyway. So if your gonna be wanting to enter corners quick you best get your blipping downshifts practice in ;)

Thing with a veeetwin is the way the power comes in. An R1 will go "wwwwWWWWAAAAAAA" Where as a Big Vee goes....BOOOOMMMMmmm (dadadada, lol)

So any mug can ride a fast inline a to b, because you can just stay below the power where throttle control doesnt matter so much, a big Vee your in it from the off. But as been said your in control, they handle great and have excellent feedback. Listen to what it tells you (and dont piss it off!) :devious

Is it worth investing in a steering damper? I don't fancy pushing my luck :p.

PS: Is the "dadadadada" the overrun bit? :D

The RSV won't frighten you mate, just ride it slowly and build up confidence as you go, it is a pussycat with a devilish side to it if ya want it to have one, honestly you will be surprised as to how easy they are to get on with.

Here is another vid (RSV Factory) for ya to listen too and watch, took this a couple of years ago on my local roads, click it onto full screen (bottom right of screen) and turn up the volume and listen to those Smaltmotos sing:devious

It's my party trick, hate the feckin things but no insurance without it, so needs must and all that ****, now get yerself a nice RSV and sell me yer chainsaw:thumbup

I hope that a symptom of owning an RSV isn't wanting to buy an RS250? I promise when time comes to sell, I shall give people here first crack at the RS.
That is of course unless anyone wants to swap V5s, but I doubt that's going to happen. Not until the RS goes up in value as the number of servicable ones dwindles, anyway :p.

I will be sore disappointed, if I don't have an RSV before the start of summer though . Maybe someone can put in an offer for my RS :p. Or maybe I should wait until summer so demand increases hehe.

Ahh, this is frustrating, every time I see "hi there" at the top I think it's someone putting in an offer for my RS, but noo, it turns out to be that Scottish dude hehe.

Ok I got a proposition for ya
I will swap my near as dammit sorted rsv for ya rs250 as long as I don't have to travel for it ..........there ya go can't say fairer than that............check my thread on bike pics to see her in latest guise.....................
