It'll be black again next week mucker. :yes

glad it worked out - it's going to be dry tomorrow, wet Monday. bunch of arse. but at least this way you'll be able to fud about in perfect safety once brakes are bedded in.

Hi all
Ok lest go back a bit to sat morning when fitting the new disc's.

1, there was no thread lock on the bolts that holding the disc's to the wheel ? (me thinks they have been off at some time?)
2, the pin's holding the new pads in were full of rust ? (why not give them a rub over when putting new pads in ?)
3, back of new pads had a bit of copper slip on them (all well & good why not on the pin's ?)
4, all pistons working well.

I cleaned up the calipers, cleaned up the pins, cleaned up the new pads, put thread lock on the bolts that hold the disc's to the wheel.

The test ride was a good one 200 miles ish around mid & south Wales. the wife likes the bike & we are hoping to get out today for a bit before the rain comes in ? Me think not.

The bike is working well.

I jest wont to say. I have been riding bike for about 25 years now & working on them for about 23 years as was so fed up with being ripped off by the shops. As this bike is still in the warranty i have to get them to do as much as poss.

I am so happy i did the disc's my self.

Thanks for your help with every thing we hope to meet up with some of you for a chat about the bikes when we are out & about.

not to far down, bala, dogaloo, tywyn, machynlleth then over to welshpool and back home.

we got down south west

You were not far from us when you were by welshpool we are about 9 miles away from there

forgot to say, when i took my discs off there was minimal amount of threadlock and they came out easily.

We are in mid wales about 5 miles from newtown

Gods road is on are door step LOL :bwtiller:bwtiller:bwtiller

if you listen very very carefully you can hear the Trough of Bowland calling....

must admit there ARE some very decent roads, but way way way way to many rozzers.

garry

I have been living up in mid wales for coming up 5 years now & i drive or ride Gods road every day & have only ever seen 3 coppers on it in all that time.

I have been stopped for 84 mph on the A44 to aber sea front by the red kite cafe.

There is a few unmarked cars around newtown but they always go out the welshpool way.
There is one to look out for a VOLVO V70 DARK BLUE CU11 CPE.
Also a silver v70 & a few black volvo's 1, V50 1, V70

Come over have fun.:roost:roost:roost

There is a f***ing brown Volvo estate around Brecon. That's just taking the piss.

The sheds a right feckin mess, suggest you spend a bit of time tidying up and sorting out that mess once you've fitted your new discs., surprised nobody mentioned it before, good job Welly's not been about.

Poor guy, let him sort his rattle in peace if that makes sense.
I had to make a shed out of an old peat store, but then I do live in Sutherland.
Sorry for going a bit off piste.

Hi trickymicky6 yep will sort out the shed in the winter when the big bikes are off the road LOL

Ukmongoose the rattle is sorted & the wife is happy

Hi Mr. Finger, glad to hear it.
You have good good tarmac in your region by the looks of it, any Tuonos are welcome up here as I have wild roads on the NCoast. Unfortunately it looks as if we have frost tomorrow too....
