Hi all
Ok lest go back a bit to sat morning when fitting the new disc's.
1, there was no thread lock on the bolts that holding the disc's to the wheel ? (me thinks they have been off at some time?)
2, the pin's holding the new pads in were full of rust ? (why not give them a rub over when putting new pads in ?)
3, back of new pads had a bit of copper slip on them (all well & good why not on the pin's ?)
4, all pistons working well.
I cleaned up the calipers, cleaned up the pins, cleaned up the new pads, put thread lock on the bolts that hold the disc's to the wheel.
The test ride was a good one 200 miles ish around mid & south Wales. the wife likes the bike & we are hoping to get out today for a bit before the rain comes in ? Me think not.
The bike is working well.
I jest wont to say. I have been riding bike for about 25 years now & working on them for about 23 years as was so fed up with being ripped off by the shops. As this bike is still in the warranty i have to get them to do as much as poss.
I am so happy i did the disc's my self.
Thanks for your help with every thing we hope to meet up with some of you for a chat about the bikes when we are out & about.
