Hi all, had a run to the coast today, got there with no probs- mille ran like a peach.
On they way back I stopped for petrol, I brimmed it until click on nozzle- went to pay and then came out to find a water fall of fuel gushing out my bike onto the floor!
So took my tank off and noticed 2x hoses located next to each other dangling in mid air. Can anyone tell me where these go please and what they are? At the moment I can't see where they go?
Many thanks
Gaz

3rd bike in as many weeks :)
Easy fix, remove the tank, remove the fuel pump assembly from the bottom and replace the 2 pipes.
Took maybe 90 mins, and much of that time was spent draining the tank into a strange collection of bottles, pans and cans. 20 litres does not like much until you need to store it outside the tank :D
Make sure the replacement pipe you get is rated for use inside a tank, there is a link in my thread to the pipe I used. 1 meter is enough to replace both pipes.

Cheers for the reply. So its the hoses inside the tank not those two short ones on the underside of the tank? When I reconnect those does it matter which way round I reconnect them?

Yeah the hoses inside the tank that are perished.

The other hoses being off is quote common but not really noticed as very little would normally be going through them.

Does not matter which way round but worth reconnecting them, they both go to the same place. They overflow the excess fuel onto your exhaust.
Mine had disconnected just outside the tank too, managed to get me rather a wet leg and a very flammable aroma too. Sure the ladies loved it :/

When you have it apart you will probably find the pipes blocked where they come through the fuel pump assembly so its a good time to clean them out.
