I did try a new editing software called lightwave a much better software than windows movie maker but it froze and I lost the who project so I couldn't be bothered to go back and do it all again, so I done a it on movie maker instead.
I'm going to look at another editing software as movie make is only basic and quite restrictive in what you can do.
Give LightWorks a try. That's what I use. Steeper learning curve than something like movie maker but once you get the hang of it is spot on. You'll need the pro, rather than free, version if you work with MP4s though.
