Hi picking my new touno up on 21st June ! Are any of you chaps riding the new model and if so what kinds range are you getting to a tank ?? Thanks

depends a lot on your ride style, i normally start looking fer gas around 80 - 100.

Still gonna buy it !!

Damn right .....

Im a builder and i put all the fuel for the bike through the books .... my accountant reckons ive got the thirstiest mixer in the south west :thumbup

Its funny why i have to go all the way to Brands Hatch for fuel for the mixer though :lol

Lol that's tooo funny !! I could do the same but I'm a digger driver and it's all diesel....

Is this 80 to 100 miles till the warning lite comes on ? Read loads of reveiws recently and there averages put it around the mid 130's till you hit reserve.

I'm on the v4 with the smaller tank (2013 model) and I get around 90 miles before the light comes on and wouldn't dare take it much past 100 miles. As a few on here might point out, I'm relatively light with the throttle too :lol

So we are talking 25 mpg or there abouts ? That means it wont make it between fuel stops on holiday and I'll be pushing it the last 10 to 20 miles and the lesser bikes will have re fueled and gone before I even get there, even carrying enough spare fuel and stopping to put it in they will be catching up and passing. Find this hard to swallow as even the american mags were getting an average of 34 mpg in testing and that included track riding and quarter mile times and vear in mind there gallon is 3.75 ltr to our 4.5.

I'm same as Mikkel above.

I average around 85-90 to the fuel light. Almost got caught out last week when a petrol station was closed for a refurb. I had to ride another 15 miles to the next station and when I got there the trip was showing 15 miles on "reserve" I managed to get 17 litres in the tank, which funnily is exactly what it holds apparently.

If this is a big concern for you, you need a different bike. They are extremely thirsty beasties.

I use my bikes to travel across Europe once a year and the T is capable. On the motorway you could probably push 110 miles between fuel stops. Surely that's enough?

I agree ^^^^

I don't know or care what mpg I get because my bike is purely for fun, but if you are looking at touring a lot you may be buying the wrong bike.

Not looking at touring but do a few euro trips every year, had two millies and two tuono but thought from all the reveiws the new bike was suposed to be better on fuel, problem is what other naked is there with any real character ? 1290 maybe.

The vast majority of my road miles are country roads and the only motorway miles would be if there was no viable alternative.

Mine still running in 98 miles to light 13 on reserve before it stopped ........BEWARE ..,..doesn't seem to make any difference how you ride it lol filled up at weekend reset computers dynamic was always 40 plus but after 15 miles of cruising av dropped to 34.1 town use seems to REALLY knock it down......didn't get it for economy but thought all bikes git least 40 -45 mpg ??? Think may get 40+ on a run

Most litre bikes are pretty crap compared to a car engine say,but a car motor don't rev like a bike so you never gonna get good mpg :no but like most on here the fuel cap certainly ain't gonna rust up on this bike :thumbup

Got my 2014 abs model last year and asked dealer (motech newcastle) about mpg he was honest and said 28, he was about right but 25 when yer giving it big licks

Can now update after a trip to Le Mans fir motogp. In anticipation of been stranded and out if fuel, the whole trip around 1400 miles in total was planned religiously via fuel stations...... That and a mate had a couple of plastic fuel cans with 2litres of fuel just in case lol. To say it amazed me was an understatement. We stopped regularly fir fuel to be on the safe side but at each stop I was only putting in between one and one and a half litres of fuel in the Tuono more than my brother on a 13 reg repsol 600 and mate on an 11 reg z1000sx. The best I got was 137 miles befire light and managed to get 16.5 litres in at 147 miles. So quite decent on a run but still feel a lot if town use hammers consumption
