So I decided to change my front brake res from the crappy clear plastic one to a Aluminium one.
i have sucked out the old fluid with a syringe and disconnected the clips and removed the short hose.
fitted new hose, clips and reservoir to the bars.

i have then filled a new syringe with dot 4 fluid connected to front left calliper and cracked of the bleed nipple 1/4 turn and tried to pump fluid back up the system to fill the reservoir. Nothing tried 1/2 turn and all that happens is fluid starts coming up the threads from the calliper.
Locked it of cleaned it and tried same on the other side. No luck just the same, so tried again with the lever pulled in half way held with tape, same thing. Tried with lever all way in till brakes on full. Still no luck on either side.
this is a 14 plate with ABS. Is there a special way to bleed as it's always worked on my other bikes.
Any you guys got any ideas.

Have you tried bleeding it from the top, ie. fluid in the reservoir and open the bleed nipple and pump the brake lever? Maybe the ABS pump wont let you reverse bleed it?!?!

Not tried that yet as I didn't want to get air in the lines from the rubber pipe that comes out of the res.
If I don't get any answers about my problem then that will be the way I have to go.
Never done abs before so that might be the issue.

why are you trying to fill the reservoir that way? just fill it, give it a couple of minutes, pull the hose back a touch from the mc and let fluid through/air back up and job done.

Hi, you should get it sorted if you bleed the system from the the nipple on the master cylinder, as this is the highest point.
I`ve got a new master cylinder coming and I will also be changing the calipers, so I`ll be doing the same thing soon-please post any problems you have.
I`ve done it lots of times, but never on a bike with ABS.
Cheers.

Now sorted as used the nipple on the master cylinder. I used a syringe to force it back up but it was bloody hard going. It did force some out through the threads but covered the bike in polythene rags and towels. Nasty stuff that brake fluid.
Something defiantly strange with the ABS. Poss a one way valve. My last Tuono and all other bikes have bled up dead easy with a syringe using reverse method.
