Hey guy and gals,

FNG here, thought I would post up and see if you are a friendly bunch.
Picking up a 2007.5 on Wednesday and am pretty excited because I have never ridden one before. But made the decision based off the experience of a couple trusted friends who swear the Tuono is the perfect street bike. Just sold the R1 today. Lots of fun but the stretches between twisty spots was a bit brutal. I look forward to learning and sharing with you folks.
I guess I will start off with asking for any advise you can provide on things to look for, expect to experience, ideal mods, etc..... Would also like to know how to distinguish between the 2007 and the .5?

Welcome matey, lots of mod advice and piss taking here....just make sure the battery is in good nick and have a look at the known probs thread elsewhere...it sums up all the major things in a few lines.....

Otherwise the beast is a great road bike, I came from a Triumph Street Triple 675 and that was meant to be the dogs danglies but the Tuono wipes the floor with it.

Thanks guys. I took a look at the links. Very useful. Would have replied sooner but have been on the road to pick up new hot black Italian model. Now I understand. Good God that thing is awesome.

It is already -1 in the front. Got a chance to get out of town finally and am very impressed with everything except the seat and milage. I am sure there are threads on the seat. I will have to look.
