Anyone with a post 04 bike got these fitted?

I purchased some of these and had the problem of not being able to torque them correctly, in the end i drilled them out and fitted some sleeve inserts, the aprillia manual clearly says that these fixings should be 50nm, there must be a good reason for this in my opinion
