How To Guides
Rico. on the right hand side bracket of front crash bung my wiring loom was retained in original position and I assumed the gap in the bracket allowed for this (e.g wiring loom goes through gap in bracket) but you seem to have moved the loom up out of the way. Not had any problems with the loom, fitted mine about 12 months ago (see photos 17 & 18 - 17 shows the loom being fingered...ahem, & 18 shws the bracket). Not that I'm now paranoid or anything......*checks over his shoulder*

Cannot keep bumping these informative threads that some kind person has put together for everyone`s benefit.

MAKE THIS A STICKY THREAD .

It is one we all can revert to if we get stuck.

I would do it myself but haven`t got a clue how to

Thanks for the guide Rico. :thumbup

I struggled to get a spanner into the insides nuts when trying to fit the lower rear bungs. I found a shorter stubby 15mm spanner on eBay and this helped get the engine bolts out, and then used an old 17mm combo spanner from an old Suzuki bike tool kit to hold the R&G nuts in place - even so tho, I had to fiddle to get them into a position to be able to hold the inside nuts.

The R&G kit I also got from eBay a few weeks ago, no original packaging, but with instructions - I reckon the original buyer failed to manage to get them fitted and sold them on eBay to get some of his money back.

Tomorows job is to bleed the rear brake and the clutch :eek

You'd better make bleeding the rear brake Wednesdays job as well ... and Thursdays ... and ...

I've given up having realised that the only true solution is to buy new rear-sets from Griff where the bits and bobs are all orientated such that they can work properly.

Griff ... please post my cheque to the usual address

I had worked that one out, and just waiting to pay off the Crimbo stuff, anf will order a set of the Griff rear-sets. But in the mean time its the bleeding option!

Thanks for the excellent pictorial Rico, I've ordered these and will probably get them before the bike arrives lol, so very useful to read given R+G's fitting instructions.
