Im sure yer not that **** a rider matey!!, I have had the back come round on me a few times but was lucky enough that it came back into place rather than spit me off! at least you were moving at the time. My last crash involved a granny bashing me at the traffic lights-at 30mph! (whilst I was stationary)=written off bike.
The mille seems to like(for road) Metz m3's coras 111/s and the like)
I have paid the(hefty) price a few times for using cheap tyres
Ck

I might look at the Metzeler M3's, I think Sharky has them and really rates them.
On a rideout to Mablethorpe last year we came across a rider trying a bit of Motorcross on a brand new R6 after he'd just lost it on a bend. One week old he was gutted coz the bike was ****** big time....it was fitted with D208's...why do manufactrers fit these tyres :dunno is it because they're cheap or do they think they are a good tyre :confused

just catching up and caught this. nightmare, main thing is you're okay and the bits for your bike can be fixed. i've a mate who got his bike done by bike medic and they did a quality job on it so if you're stuck see if there's one in your area.

re tyres. i got mine changed this week as i just couldn't get on with the 208s. i know the horse has bolted this time but.... i'm so much happier with pilot road 2s on mine. i've got the rear 208 in the garage for when it gets a bit warmer but TBH I don't think it'll ever get fitted.

anyway sorry to hear about your mishap. best of luck getting it all back together.

Sorry to hear about you're off Sprocker glad to see you escaped unhurt,Can't believe you done that when you said about getting them crap dunlops taken off, hope you're back up and at them soon,As far as tyres go you can't go wrong getting either metzeler sportec M3's,michelin 2ct's or pirelli's diablo corsa III's all rated about the same, just down to personal choice.

What are these tyres like in the wet too?

nae probs with the corsa 111's over 1600 wet miles to mugello last year, and so far the M3's are very good on our greasy january roads at the mo

Gutted for ya Sprocker, your bike was mint (dodgy colour mind :biggrin) you will soon have her back to her former glory, glad your unhurt tho mate :thumbup:thumbup

its alwaya annoyin when you come off doesn't matter what bike your on just if the engine is smaller normaly easier to pick up aint it. good that no bones broken or anything and its just in a way minor damage

Gutted for you mate and I second your point about car drivers.

Those dunlops sound *****, I've got diablo corsas (just had to put new one on as bought a nail), even when I'm taking it easyish on slimy roads they give me more confidence than the Bridgestone 020s I had on my zx9r and before that fazer.

Important thing is ur OK, I'm sure she will be back to her best with a little help from fleabay.

A guy from work knows someone with a garage who can get him cheap tyres. He got a set of Michelin Pilot Powers fitted and balanced £160 which I think is a great price and he's going to ask if he'll do me a set for that price too :thumbup

I had pilot power 2ct's fitted on the cbr6 and they were great. His pilot powers were much softer than my 2ct's :confused I thought they were the same compound as the outside edge of the 2ct's :dunno anyone here know the difference or has tried the pilot powers ?

Yeah I know the 2ct's are dual compound, but his pilot powers were definately softer :confused do thay come in differing grade compounds for the p/powers :dunno

Go for Pilot road 2's.......dual compound and longer life....i got them and think there great

glad your ok. sounds like **** luck to me. talking of tyres what are the rennsports like.

hadn't seen this thread, sorry sprocker ! :(

Damn I'm gutted for ya.. So heartbreaking :banghead :banghead

Good luck on the recovery of your baby :)

I think you were offline for a couple of weeks doing a show :dunno back on the road now pumpkin :thumbup just got a bit of gravel rash damage to sort out on the panels now :thumbup

yeah that's true, I wasn't around then :)

Good to hear you and her are up and running :thumbup

Awww fook man, glad you are OK though bud, the bike will sort easier than you:thumbup

Can't help with anything you need though, as legs said, give mac a shout at ezgraphics for stickers etc.

2ct's are harder in the middle and softer outsides, exactly the opposite to a Cadburys cream egg:pirate
